Review of the ColourPop Liners: Crème Gel Pot, BFF Liquid Liner, and Crème Gel Pencil

Advertisements

Recently ColourPop repackaged all of their pencil and pot eyeliners to have the outer packaging match the color inside all of the way through instead of just the tip. Considering I use these all of the time I thought I would do a review of the formulas as I don’t think I’ve done one on any of the formulas here on the blog. I prefer each of the different types of formulas for different reasons.

Crème Gel Eyeliner Pencil

I love the pencil liner especially for my waterline. It glides on smoothly and is retraceable so you don’t have to sharpen it over and over again. However, this can mean it break quite easily especially if it gets overadvanced. The formula is creamy and blendable so you can smudge it out before it gets dries down. Once it does it’s long-lasting, contains 0.2 g (0.007 oz) of product, and each cost $5.50.

BFF Liquid Liner

I’ve been using these like crazy since I got them, and I hope they expand the range in the future from seven shades to maybe the same amount they have with the other formulas. The liquid liner has a felt tip so you don’t get frayed brush hairs over time. It’s also flexible to allow for a smooth application without causing skipping or tugging as some other felt tip liners I’ve tried in the past. These are transfer resistant without smudging, feathering, or running which make them perfect for every day use. Each liquid liner cost $8 with 0.019 fl oz (0.55 mL).

Crème Gel Eyeliner Pot

Gel formula is something I always come back to other the years especially when I’m going creative makeup. As much as I enjoy a felt tip liquid liner for every day wear, a good gel makes creative looks even easier. Plus I love the variety you get from ColourPop. These are long-wearing and highly pigmented without tugging or pulling while applying. Each pot has 3.0 g (0.11 oz) of product for $6.50. You need to make sure to have a brush on hand, I generally go for a super fine tipped brush. Once these dry they are transfer resistant but you need to make sure the jar is tightly closed to prevent them from drying out.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF EYELINER?

Love ya,
