Soft Mauve Glam With ColourPop Sweet Nothings Palette

For holidays 2018 ColourPop released two palettes, Sweet Nothings is the first of those two palettes. I will have my review of the second palette up tomorrow. Sweet Nothings is the soft glam palette with a lot of mauve and neutral tones. Similar to the Give it to me Straight, You Had me at Hello, Fem Rosa (She) and Pretty Much palettes. If you combined all of those palettes you would have the Sweet Nothings pressed powder palette.

Each shadow contains 0.85g (0.03 oz) of product and costs $16, which is a typical price of a 12-pan palette from ColourPop. Like most ColourPop palettes it does not include a mirror inside. And there are three different finishes: metallic, matte, and satin. Similar to other ColourPop palettes, each shadow is extremely pigmented and applies evenly on the eyes. They also feel buttery and are very long wearing. There is some kick back from the matte shades, but nothing crazy and I didn’t notice any type of fall out underneath my eyes when I was done.

Shade Descriptions

  • Outta Luck: matte peachy pink
  • 11:11: rose gold with silver glitter
  • Canelé: soft lavender with light gold duochrome flip
  • Pretty Cruel: matte berry mauve with gold flecks
  • Come and Get It: duochrome rose with a gold flip
  • On the Rise: metallic vivid violet
  • 20 Something: metallic peachy gold
  • Upon a Star: metallic cool rose
  • Sparks Fly: matte deep plummy brown
  • Popular Demand: matte red brown
  • Tuile: matte smoky plum
  • Mousse: matte blackened cool plum

I wore this palette every single day last week for work and there is a fair amount of variety with this palette. If you didn’t have the other four palettes I mentioned earlier, this palette is nice but if you had any of those palettes already in your collection that hasn’t expired then it’s really nice. As I had just started to use ColourPop palettes this year, I basically have three palettes that are almost identical. Goal for 2019, not to buy palettes that are almost identical to ones I already have. If anything, no more getting palettes. But we all know I’m going to fail at that. Anyways, it’s nice and of similar quality to any other ColourPop palette. And I have enjoyed playing with the palette.

Love ya,

Those shimmers look so pretty! I didn’t order this one but I did get the rendezvous, I can’t wait for it to show up in the mail 🙂

Yes it’s really pretty but I have several other palettes from Colourpop that are almost identical or if rearranged would be this palette. Rendezvous is so gorgeous!
