Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Review & Swatches

Advertisements

Over the past week or so I’ve been testing out the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows. Which for an every day look it’s a little much in my opinion as I generally don’t wear heavy makeup or bold makeup to my full time job, but to fully test this out I did for an entire week. A few of those looks are on my Instagram. And after a full week of testing the product out, I have my full thoughts and wanted to share them with you!

About This Product

This brilliantly long-wearing sparkle eye shadow combines the perfect mix of pearl and glitter to lavish eyes with incredible luster and shimmer.  With its uniquely lightweight, water-infused texture, Glitter & Glow glides on effortlessly, then dries down smoothly, locking in maximum sparkle with minimal fallout, for eyes with a real “wow!” factor.

There are 11 shades in total, but they are only all available on Stila’s website. But a select few of the shades are available at Ulta and Sephora. Each one has 0.153 fl.oz. / 4.5ml of product in each container. I got eight of these shades but here is the full list of all the Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows:

Swatches

From Left to Right: Kitten Karma, Ballet baby, smoldering satin, Molten Midnight, Diamond Dust, Smoky Storm, Rose Gold Retro, & Gold Goddess

Overall Thoughts

Some of the liquid eye shadows apply smoothly and stay in place, whereas others apply somewhat unevenly or move around. I fell asleep on the couch one day and the shadows broke down so I had the glitter all over my cheeks. Yes I move around a lot in my sleep so that is enough to destroy any makeup, but still it breaks down during the day. That’s just an extreme example, I had this happen on days when I didn’t take a mid-day nap or scratch my eyes. But even though I get the glitter demon on my cheeks, the eye shadow doesn’t overall look destroyed. And there is only one shade I ever have issues with and that’s Gold Goddess. Other than that I hardly see any issues with these liquid eye shadows so it’s possibly just a bad one that I got or that shade just doesn’t match the consistency of the others.

Overall, I really love these liquid eye shadows from Stila. Minus Gold Goddess which gives me a lot of issues, I think these are completely worth it! As you can see from the swatch above my struggles with Gold Goddess. All the others blend and look seamless on the eyes and I don’t have as many issues with those. I will most likely get the three that I don’t currently have from Stila as I do love these. Plus it is glitter so wearing these I have fully excepted these to go everywhere. And it makes getting ready for events or work super simple as I just put the liquid eye shadows across the entire lid then just a deep matte color in the outer corner then blend that through the crease. It’s super easy and makes it look like I spent a lot of time into my appearance though my eye shadow only took not even five minutes if you also include eyeliner and mascara.

Have you tried these before? If so, what was your opinion on them?
