Taylor Swift Eras Book Tag

Taylor Swift Eras Book Tag

This was a tag created on Instagram by lizzyy.reads, but because I don't use Instagram for book sharing, I decided to blog the tag instead. I've stated before that I enjoy Taylor Swift, but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with her. Having said that, I listen to several of her songs on repeat. And I thought the concept of Eras in book form was intriguing. To be honest, I'm amazed I have one for each of these. I'll get into that as I discuss each of the Eras books.…

With These Last Breaths (Aisling Sea, Book 3) by Vanessa Rasanen

With These Last Breaths (Aisling Sea, Book 3) by Vanessa Rasanen

With These Last Breaths by Vanessa Rasanen is the final book in the Aisling Sea trilogy; however, not the final book in this world as this author plans on having a new series called Immortal Reveries that takes place in this world, which will be a collection of interconnected stand-alones. But it will take place beyond the Aisling Sea, as the conflict here has been resolved, and the main characters are setting out in different directions.…

So Many Books, So Little Time | What’s On My TBR?

So Many Books, So Little Time | What’s On My TBR?

There are so many books that I need to read. And being a mood reader is not helping matters when it comes to tackling the list. So, since I'm being indecisive on what I'm going to read next, I figured I would just share what I have lined up to be read next. Will I actually end up reading those next? We'll see. But this is everything I have on the docket at least for this month. These aren't in order by any means of when I'm going to be reading them and two of them I have started.…

Looking Back at September 2022

How is the month over already? I swear this year is flying by... and dragging at the same time. It was a combination of training, customer support, twitch streaming, reading an armful of books, and bodypainting. So, you know, the usual.…

Book Review: From These Dark Depths (Aisling Sea, Book 2) by Vanessa Rasanen

Book Review: From These Dark Depths (Aisling Sea, Book 2) by Vanessa Rasanen

The second book in the Aisling Sea trilogy by Vanessa Rasanen is similar to the first book, From These Dark Depths in that it ends on a cliffhanger and features multiple POVs in the third person limited style. This series has been compared to Black Sails and Throne of Glass. While I haven't read Black Sails, I can see the Throne of Glass parallel. They are on the hunt for a magical dagger that will aid them in defeating a corrupt ruling body. Not to mention the presence of fae, sirens, and other mythical creatures.…

Book Review: On These Black Sands (Aisling Sea, Book 1) by Vanessa Rasanen

Book Review: On These Black Sands (Aisling Sea, Book 1) by Vanessa Rasanen

Ever since reading From Tormented Tides by Val E. Lane, I've been into more sea-faring tales (pirates, Vikings, etc.) so I had put the Aisling Sea series by Vanessa Rasanen on my TBR. Originally, I wasn't going to read the series until it was completed, as both books in the trilogy end on a cliffhanger. But on my recent trip to Boston, I felt called to pick up the first book, On These Black Sands, as the sea was calling to me. Not to mention, this series features a morally grey hero, a found family, a slow-burn romance, and the one-bed trope. Not that I pick up books for tropes, but those are the ones I enjoy.…
