You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch (Body Paint)

For the first Saturday (Caturday) of December, we decided to take on Classic Christmas characters. I let my Discord decide between a few iconic characters who I could become. They ended up deciding I would turn into the Grinch. And I seriously love how this turned out.…
View PostHowl Pendragon with Calcifer from Howl’s Moving Castle Body Paint

It's been a hot minute since I've shared a body painting on my blog. So, I thought I would share my most recent body paint/cosplay today. Since I absoltely love how it turned out. It's Howl Pendragon from the beginning of the movie with a little Calcifer on my cheek. I created this look during a Twitch stream. So, chat helped me decide the direction of the look. I couldn't decide between blond wig Howl with Calcifer or black wig with raven feathers similar to the ones Howl takes on later in the movie. We ended up going with the former.…
View PostReflecting on October and Goals for November 2021

October and my favorite holiday are over. A lot happened in October for me. A good portion of that was stressful. From my dad being put into assisted living and his power of attorney trying to guilt-trip my sister and me to talk to him for the first time in eight years (not going to happen), to listening to our old neighbors complain about squatters that moved into his foreclosed home, to almost losing my job... it's been a bit much. Not that there weren't other elements that I loved from this past month. I've had a blast being creative, read some great books, and enjoyed playing new games that I saw pieces of before. So, I thought I would reflect on the elements I loved from the last month as well as go over my goals from last month as well as the ones I have for this month.…
View PostI Turned Myself into the Queen of Hearts

I let my Discord decided what makeup look I would do, and Queen of Hearts ended up winning. So, I decided to pull inspiration from a few different places for this look. Those being: Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Disney's Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and the playing card for the Queen of Hearts. I think you'll find subtle nods to each version in the look. From the color palette to the lips to the roses painted red to the drawn appearance of the card. I really like how the look turned out... and of course, it gave me an excuse to put on a crown and my favorite blood-red wig.…
View PostSqueeze of the Day (Citrus Fruit Inspired Makeup Look)

This week's theme for Caturday is Fruit, so I went for a citrus fruit-inspired look. I used a look by @lenaaleew as a reference for this look. I absolutely love how this turned out with the lemons, limes, and oranges. I didn't really have an outfit that went with the look, so I wanted to focus on the makeup and pulling in elements with the white and green.…
View PostMarvel’s Scarlet Witch Body Paint

I've been really enjoying doing body painting lately or at least doing it once a week. That way I don't get burnt out. This week I turned myself into Marvel's Scarlet Witch from Wandavision. I love Wanda, she's one of my favorite characters in the MCU. I let my Discord decide who I turned myself into and I'm really glad they went with this character. The other choices were: Deadpool, Spiderman, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man. Plus, I haven't seen anyone else recreate this version of Scarlet Witch in body paint. The original? Sure. But this one? Nope. Maybe I'm wrong but I didn't see any on a quick search. I mostly was trying to get a sense of how anyone else would do the headpiece, but I couldn't find one that didn't use an actual headpiece, so I winged it. And I have to say I love how this look turned out.…
View PostBecoming a Sweet Snack (Body Paint)

For one of my recent live streams over on Twitch, I turned makeup into a candy/sweet. This took about 4 hours in total to complete, and I got a bit carried away with the look. But I absolutely love how it turned out. This look was a lot of different eyeshadow palettes and almost every one of MadeYewLook Body Paints. My desk was an absolute mess afterward, but it was totally worth it.…
View PostI Turned Myself into a Cracked Stone Statue

Tonight during a Twitch stream, I turned myself into a cracked stone statue using body paint and some eyeshadow. This look was roughly inspired by @kristinefargerik and @artyfaceart, and the only thing edited in the photos is my eye color. We got a little carried away during stream with stone/cracked puns, which I thought was hilarious. Usually I have a long list of products that I used when creating looks but I only used a few products. Those being: Madeyewlook body paint in Yeti and Ink, ColourPop Smoke Show palette, and NYX liquid liners.…
View PostMaking a Clown of Myself

I haven't done a makeup photo diary or post in a while. I've done creative makeup looks for Caturday (a thing I do every Saturday with two of my streaming friends: Foxtail and Cassii over on Twitch), but I just haven't made specific posts about them. Sometimes I don't remember to post them on Instagram though the most of them are. But this one is just creative makeup for the sake of creative makeup. I wasn't trying to do it for anything. I was just in the mood and picked one of the looks I had in my Inspo folder. This pastel rainbow clown look inspired by @yannalinnaa and @jamescharles.…
View PostTwo ColourPop Palettes that I’ve Been Wearing Lately: Lust for Dusk & So Very Lovely

I've been pretty good about not buying every new ColourPop release. Granted, my sister has still been very generous in ordering them for me as surprises lately. Not every release but a fair amount of the eyeshadow palettes. Not all of them I have used or reached for a lot. But there are two lately that have stood out mainly as they've been sitting out and I've worn them almost every day since I received them. Those palettes being the Lust for Dusk and So Very Lovely. …
