The History of Blush

The History of Blush

This is going to be the final article in the history of makeup series mainly as it’s the only other product that can be traced back more than a few decades from what I could find in my research. The rosy cheeks can be traced back like most makeup mentioned in this series to ancient Egyptians.

ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush & Bronzer for Fair Skin Review

ColourPop Pressed Powder Blush & Bronzer for Fair Skin Review

Months ago when I ordered all of the ColourPop eyeshadow I also picked up several of the pressed powder blushes and bronzer. The ones they refer to as being for fair skinned individuals which were the following shades: Noodle, Why Hello, To The 10, and CA Dreaming. And I have been using them every single time I am doing a full face of makeup. Each powder is $8 for 0.21 oz of product.

NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette Review & Swatches

NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette Review & Swatches

NYX is one of those companies where a large majority of my favorite or every day makeup comes from. And one thing that I really wanted to try was the Sweet Cheeks Blush palette granted I know a lot of these shades I will most likely not use for blush unless I’m doing it for a specific look. I got this a little while ago but never got around to actually using it until now. So I thought it would be a great idea to do a review/first impression of it.

tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup Case Swatches and First Impression

tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup Case Swatches and First Impression

Something that I haven’t gotten in a while is a good new set of eyeshadows. And my favorite brand of eyeshadows is tarte, they were the first non-drug store eyeshadow I ever tried and continues to stay on my favorites every day. So when I saw there was a paintbox collector’s case at Sephora with 24 eyeshadows, a blush, a highlighter, a bronzer, a contour, a mascara, a eyeliner, and a gloss I just had to get it. The entire set was $59 but is valued at $418. So yes, it’s a bit up there but you get a lot in the case so it is totally worth the price.

Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette Review and Swatches

Tarte Rainforest After Dark Palette Review and Swatches

As Tarte was the first non-drug store brand I ever tried, it has a little special place in my little beauty heart. So when I this palette, I wanted it in my collection. Especially as it would be the perfect day to night look since it includes a blush, highlighter, bronzer, and six eyeshadows. If you were travelling and only wanted to bring one palette along with you to keep the makeup to a minimum, then this is the perfect item to grab.
