Thoughts After Reading of The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The third installment of the Blood and Ash Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout was released called The Crown of Gilded Bones. I read it in a day as I had with the other two books in the series. I could not stop turning the pages in this book. Like the previous books, when I did my review on them, I’m going to be sharing spoilers. I have a lot of thoughts and don’t think I can adequately at this time do a proper review. I will give this book a rating of 4.25 out of 5 stars. In case you want to skip my thoughts to avoid the spoilers. It was good, the worldbuilding was spectacular of how things were handled. And I can’t wait for the next installment.

The 20 Question Book Tag

I saw this tag on Ellie’s blog, Read to Ramble, and she was tagged by Sabrina over at Sabrina’s Booktails, who found this tag on Prutha’s blog, The Confessions of A Music and Book Addict, and after searching through loads of other posts… I can’t find the original author of this tag nor could Ellie. If you know it, please share in the comments. But I wanted to do this tag since it looked interesting and I need something to blog about during the stretches between books. Since I don’t have time to read long books in one sitting at the moment.

Looking Back at What I Read in 2020

2020 was a tough year for a lot of us. I know I already talked a bit about this in my Happy New Year and Goals for January 2021 posts, but I thought I would make a dedicated post for going over the books that I read last year and if any of my thoughts have changed in regards to them. Since this last year really got me back into reading, as before other than Shadowhunters Chronicles which was the majority of my reading in 2019 I pretty much never read. But in 2020, I read at least six to eight books a month. If not, more as I often end up reading several books multiple times or re-reading various chapters repeatedly.

Goals for January 2021

Considering how 2020 went, I’m not going to make plans for the year. Instead I’m going to take things month by month, and see how it goes. Mostly as I don’t know what the world is going to be like, nor my life for that matter. I’ve been trying my hardest with keeping busy to prevent too much idle time from getting to me, as I cannot handle being idle. Which results in me working full time from home, streaming at least four times a week for three to five hours each time, moderating other people’s streams, and running/moderating multiple discords. On top of other hobbies like reading and art… let’s just say I’m always doing something. And I don’t plan on changing that in 2021. So, I thought I would share some of my goals at least for January.

My Thoughts on Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

A few months ago, I shared that I’ve spent a lot of time on Discord, which is still true. The number of servers I’m on has doubled in that time, but one thing that has not changed. I’m still in a writers’ Discord by Rebecca Mix called Chaos Sprinters and every month we’re having a book club through there. October’s book was Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas, which I didn’t get around to until now.

Books I’ve Purchased Recently that I Seriously Need to Read (aka Book Haul)

So, I got seriously into reading than after binging a lot of good series, I fell not really into a reading slump as I haven’t stopped reading but I haven’t really touched new books. I’ve just been re-reading all of my favorite series. And have way, way, way too many that I purchased but haven’t read. Nor can get myself to read as I’m too nervous to reach for them for fear they won’t live up to expectations. As a lot of these I learned through BookTok (TikTok) as being great books.
