Taylor Swift Eras Book Tag

This was a tag created on Instagram by lizzyy.reads, but because I don't use Instagram for book sharing, I decided to blog the tag instead. I've stated before that I enjoy Taylor Swift, but I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with her. Having said that, I listen to several of her songs on repeat. And I thought the concept of Eras in book form was intriguing. To be honest, I'm amazed I have one for each of these. I'll get into that as I discuss each of the Eras books.…
View PostAuthors Who I Consider Auto-Buy (Read Everything That’s Released)

There aren't many authors who I would read everything they publish. Either because I'm not interested in all of their concepts or because I'm only interested in specific universes. Or they have way too many series, so I pick and choose which one I'm going to read. And then, there are other authors who I have read everything they have released, but because they just have one series or world that they have been writing in. So, I can't say if I would be interested in their other works outside of that realm. But they've published enough where I would be confident in anything else they publish.…
View PostMy Thoughts on The War of Lost Hearts Series by Carissa Broadbent

The War of Lost Hearts by Carissa Broadbent is a trilogy which has been compared to Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Which is a series I absolutely loved, so I was a little nervous to read this series. Because either I was going to lose interest if it was too similar to Throne of Glass or would spend too much time comparing the two instead of enjoying it. But I thoroughly enjoyed the Nightborn Duet from Carissa Broadbent, so I decided to finally give this series as try. Instead of doing a review for each book I'm going to combine them in one. I'll try to avoid sharing too many spoilers, but I will be discussing the full series.…
View PostSo Many Books, So Little Time | What’s On My TBR?

There are so many books that I need to read. And being a mood reader is not helping matters when it comes to tackling the list. So, since I'm being indecisive on what I'm going to read next, I figured I would just share what I have lined up to be read next. Will I actually end up reading those next? We'll see. But this is everything I have on the docket at least for this month. These aren't in order by any means of when I'm going to be reading them and two of them I have started.…
View PostMid-Year Reading Wrap Up: Best Books I’ve Read So Far

Instead of going through every book I've read so far for my mid-year reading wrap up, I decided to focus on the ones with the highest ratings. Especially since I've read so many books this year. Each of these books received four stars or above, indicating that they were among the best books I've ever read. I couldn't put any of these books down and found them to be excellent. However, because it is on a.25 increment scale, there is a range within it, with some reaching closer to five stars than others.…
View PostLooking Back at the Books I Read in May 2023

I did not read a lot this month as I was mainly absorbed into playing video games during my free time. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom being the main one I ended up playing for the better part of the month. Not to mention, I just didn't have motivation to read as I was writing a bunch. But I did manage to read a few things. So, like every month before I'm going to share what I managed to read.…
View PostMy Thoughts on the Crowns of Nyaxia (Nightborn Duet) by Carissa Broadbent

Carissa Broadbent's The Crowns of Nyaxia series contains a duet called the Nightborn Duet, which is the first two installments and follows the story of Raihn and Oraya. This duet was described as being perfect for fans of From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, and I can see the comparison for both. As we got rivals to lovers, deadly competition, action packed, and vampires with wings. I was debated on separating my review of The Serpent and the Wings of Night from The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King, but decided to combine the two.…
