The year is officially halfway over, so I thought it was time to look back at all the books I've read so far since the start of 2022. Several of these books I read multiple times during the course of the year, so the actual number of books is higher if you take that into consideration, but I didn't count how many times I re-read books, and some of them I only re-read certain sections, like returning to the romance only portion of some books and skipping the plot. I haven't done a post like this since March, while there have been new releases since then there wasn't a lot to the point where I felt inclined to write a post like this. But in June there are five books that I'm looking forward to coming out this month. Of course, there will be other books that I will be reading as well. Even though I'm not doing goals for 2022, I'm still going to continue with writing out everything I accomplished at the end of each month. Mainly as a diary for myself to look back on everything I managed to do. Ultimately my plan for the year is just to experience new things by playing video games I never have before (a lot of Nintendo games that were on consoles I never had growing up along with others), have fun creatively with art and body painting, and finish writing my novel (without restarting it as I have for the last few years every time I near the ending). On top of that, I think at some point this year I might get another dog, a puppy to be specific, I would like to get one while Pixie still has a pep to her step so she can help train the little one before her elder years. Plus, Pixie ultimately does better when there's another dog around.…

I love a retelling of Hades and Persephone. I've read quite a few, and I wasn't quite ready to return to YA Fantasy or NA Fantasy books quite yet. So, I decided to read Neon Gods by Katee Robert. This book tells the tale of Hades and Persephone with a modern lens where they are not gods or goddesses, but rather the name is a title. This book is the first book in the Dark Olympus universe.
