What’s the Problem with DevaCurl? And Why I Stopped Using Their Products

I think everyone that starts the Curly Girl Method at one point or another tries DevaCurl. It’s one of the most popular products for this since it’s silicone free and was previously known as being the perfect product to use. Considering it seems to be taking over my YouTube recommended feed, I thought I would talk about my experience and what the products other customers seem to be having as well with their products.

Kristin Ess The One Signature Shampoo & Extra Gentle Scalp Conditioner Review

Kristin Ess The One Signature Shampoo & Extra Gentle Scalp Conditioner Review

For the past few months, I’ve switched shampoo and conditioner from Function of Beauty to Kristin Ess. I loved their Strand Strengthening Reconstructive Moisture Mask, which had brought my hair back from the dead. So I thought I would give their shampoo and conditioner a chance. They do have several different ones but I decided to go with The One Signature Shampoo and Extra Gentle Scalp Conditioner. Both contain Zip-Up Technology from Kristin Ess that helps restore split ends, smooths the appearance of damaged cuticles, and helps protect the hair from environmental stressors and color fade. Both products were $10 at Target and contain 10 fl oz or 296 mL of product.

Attempting to Bring My Hair Back to Life | Olapex No. 3 Review

Attempting to Bring My Hair Back to Life | Olapex No. 3 Review

It was more the bleaching than the dying that royally killed my hair. When I finally decided to no longer have red hair, after three bleach sessions my hair was crispy and chemically shortened. I cut it short hoping that would help in the regrowth process which did help it feel better. But I needed to fix it at the root level. So to do this I decided to try out Olapex #3 with so many YouTubers swore by.
