Authors Who I Consider Auto-Buy (Read Everything That’s Released)
There aren't many authors who I would read everything they publish. Either because I'm not interested in all of their concepts or because I'm only interested in specific universes. Or they have way too many series, so I pick and choose which one I'm going to read. And then, there are other authors who I have read everything they have released, but because they just have one series or world that they have been writing in. I enjoyed Holly Black's Folk of the Air trilogy, as well as other stories set in the Elfhame universe. So, when The Stolen Heir duology was announced, I was eager to see how things had progressed since Cardan and Jude were elevated to the position of High King and Queen. Granted, this story isn't about them, but about Suren (Wren) and Oak. Wren is a girl around Oak's age who was tortured and called the Queen of Teeth, despite the fact that it was clear in the previous series that she wasn't in control of what was going on around her at the time. Though the last time we saw her, Jude had freed her and given her command over Lady Nore. Although Oak is the rightful heir to the High Throne, Jude and Cardan have decided to wait until he is of age before handing over the crown.…

2020 was a tough year for a lot of us. I know I already talked a bit about this in my Happy New Year and Goals for January 2021 posts, but I thought I would make a dedicated post for going over the books that I read last year and if any of my thoughts have changed in regards to them. Since this last year really got me back into reading, as before other than Shadowhunters Chronicles which was the majority of my reading in 2019 I pretty much never read.
