Comparing All the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Collection Formulas

After the whole Morphe changing the original palette of Jaclyn Hill formula, I thought I would compare all three collections to each other. More so than I did in the post discussing this change as I think it’s interesting. I will not be including the original formula in this post as that is no longer in production. And I mainly wanted to go over this as in Jaclyn Hill’s commercial for the palette she describes her newest palette (Volume 2) as having the same formula of the original palette. So, I wanted to see if the new “original” formula is the same as the volume 2 palette, or if it’s closer to the vault collection which was hit or miss for a good portion of people. My vault collection wasn’t that bad, and I do reach for those from time to time, but I know others found issues with it.

Did Morphe Change the Formula on the Original Jaclyn Hill Palette?

One of the best palettes that I think Morphe ever came out with was the original Jaclyn Hill palette back in 2017. I still love that palette and use it regularly, but I noticed while I was curious on their website (was looking at the new palette, debating on getting it) that something changed. For starters, it’s no longer listed under the vegan section of their website. So, I went back to my original review where I had the ingredients list and decided to do a comparison as I used to include that list in every review back in the day.

Rainbow Splatter Skull | Vanessa Davis & James Charles Inspired Makeup Look

I was really inspired by this look James Charles and Vanessa Davis did for the “launch” of the Morphe x James Charles mini palette. Which is basically the same palette just smaller. I got the original palette when it launched, moved and had to part ways with it due to size, then regretted that and my sister repurchased it for me as a moving in present (my sister comes up with a million reasons to get me makeup, I generally don’t ask her to but if I mention a palette looks cool and I can’t afford it, suddenly she surprises me with it. She’s the best, I love her to death). However, I recently got the Norvina Collection Volumes 1-3 and decided to use those instead to create my own version of this look.

Hi, I’m Chucky, Wanna Play?!? Child’s Play Inspired Makeup Look

Next up in my classic Horror Movie series makeup looks is Chucky from Child’s Play. This movie follows a 13-year-old boy who gets a toy doll called Buddi for his birthday. However this Buddi doll takes on a life of its own, and names itself Chucky. Let’s just say if you think killer doll, Chucky is generally the first one that anyone thinks of. So, I just had to attempt to recreate this iconic character as part of this series.

Does it Actually Keep it 100? Review of the Jeffree Star Artistry Palette by Morphe

I have most of Jeffree Star Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes, not all of them but a good majority. I love the formula of those palettes and often reach for them (especially the Alien palette). So I was a little shocked that he released a palette with Morphe. Considering he has his own brand with his own eyeshadow formula. And yes, it’s spend-y but it’s usually worth that price tag. Morphe on the other hand has come out with some good palettes, but a lot of them are the same repeat shadows. At first I was going to skip on this palette, but my sister surprised me and it for me since she knows I enjoy a Jeffree Star palette.

Eyeshadow Palettes I Said Goodbye to During the Move

When I moved to my new apartment, one thing that I had to address was my eyeshadow palettes. Over the last year or so, I went overboard with getting palettes. A lot of them I have not reviewed or I’ve only reached for once or twice due to the amount of palettes I have gathered. And when I moved, I found I didn’t really have a spot for all of them. I was considering just leaving them on top of my new little beauty space but in the end decided to put them in the top drawer of my dresser. And while I had already gotten rid of a bunch (mostly expired ones) before the move, there were more I needed to say goodbye to. So I thought I would just go over some of the ones I donated, gave away, or tossed out during my most recent move.
