Authors Who I Consider Auto-Buy (Read Everything That’s Released)

Authors Who I Consider Auto-Buy (Read Everything That’s Released)

There aren't many authors who I would read everything they publish. Either because I'm not interested in all of their concepts or because I'm only interested in specific universes. Or they have way too many series, so I pick and choose which one I'm going to read. And then, there are other authors who I have read everything they have released, but because they just have one series or world that they have been writing in. So, I can't say if I would be interested in their other works outside of that realm. But they've published enough where I would be confident in anything else they publish.…

Looking Back at the Books I Read in July 2023

Looking Back at the Books I Read in July 2023

This month felt like every book series had a release. Granted, that's not true as many more are releasing books next month that are on my TBR. Either way, there were a lot of things that I wanted to read. Some of them were definitely better than others, not to mention I also went on a massive hockey romance or rather college sport romance kick as I just couldn't commit myself to reading a new series while I was in the middle of packing up to move and arranging everything involved in that. …

Thoughts on A Game of Gods (Hades Saga, Book 3) by Scarlett St. Clair

Thoughts on A Game of Gods (Hades Saga, Book 3) by Scarlett St. Clair

A Game of Gods by Scarlett St. Clair is the final book in the Hades Sage, though it is not the final book in the Hades and Persephone series as the two series will merge in one final book. And while this book was the last from Hades side, it was not only told from his POV, we also got Theseus and Dionysius. Similar to the other books in this series, this book occurs at the same time as A Touch of Malice, see my reading guide for how to read these together.…

Tandem Reading Guide for A Touch of Malice and A Game of Gods by Scarlett St. Clair

Tandem Reading Guide for A Touch of Malice and A Game of Gods by Scarlett St. Clair

Whereas, the rest of this series by Scarlett St. Clair can be broken into Persephone POV in one half and Hades in the other, A Game of Gods includes additional POVs. So, this book doesn't exactly line up perfectly, but it still does enough where a tandem reading guide could be created between this book and A Touch of Malice.…

Looking Back at December 2022

Looking Back at December 2022

Last month of the year. Where has the time gone? This year has had some of my lowest moments (losing my job) to feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder for the first time in almost five years (getting a new job). Not only that, but I got the majority of my teeth fixed, and I still have some more work to be done of course. But I no longer hate the thought of smiling and having people see my teeth. My habits regarding my teeth are better than they were before, and I intend to make that a priority in 2023 so this never happens again. Because I realize when it came to my health, I was doing the wrong thing. I was letting work dictate when or if I could go see doctors, dentists, etc. As I felt like I could never take time off to do so, but not anymore. So, here's to the next year and making myself a priority. But before the new year can kick off, I wanted to look back at everything that happened in December 2022. From what I read, what I did on stream, what happened in my personal life, and what I did as far as body painting.…

Everything I Read in 2022

Everything I Read in 2022

It's been an entire year. I hope everyone had a good year. I thought I would wrap up the year by looking back at every single book I read in 2022. We'll see if 2023 is similar in terms of how many books I read.…

My Thoughts on Queen of Myth and Monsters (Adrian x Isolde, Book 2) by Scarlett St. Clair

My Thoughts on Queen of Myth and Monsters (Adrian x Isolde, Book 2) by Scarlett St. Clair

Scarlett St. Clair's Queen of Myth and Monsters is the second book in her Adrian x Isolde series. Unlike the first book, we get multiple points of view. I read the first book in this series over a year ago and remember really enjoying it. So I had high expectations for this book. As I share my thoughts, I'll try not to give too many spoilers, but there may be a few (though I tried to be as vague as possible regarding the plot while still sharing my opinions on things).…

Mid-Year Reading Wrap Up (2022)

Mid-Year Reading Wrap Up (2022)

The year is officially halfway over, so I thought it was time to look back at all the books I've read so far since the start of 2022. Several of these books I read multiple times during the course of the year, so the actual number of books is higher if you take that into consideration, but I didn't count how many times I re-read books, and some of them I only re-read certain sections, like returning to the romance only portion of some books and skipping the plot. It depends on the book and what I was in the mood for at the time. I also did not include any books that I read in previous years in this list, only the new ones.…

Looking Back at June 2022

Looking Back at June 2022

I've officially been at my new job for a full month and have spent the entire time training. It's been interesting, as it's felt like I've been at school for a month instead of actually working. There have been homework assignments, presentations, and demonstrations of knowledge. I'll be curious to see what happens once I get into actually working tasks/issues. But so far it's been non-stop learning. I finished off the month by giving a demonstration of what I had learned thus far and will have several more of these next month. I think it went pretty well, and I found it interesting how to go into the presentation, as it was different from how I gave trainings in the past.…

Tandem Reading Guide for A Touch of Ruin and A Gate of Retribution by Scarlett St. Clair

Tandem Reading Guide for A Touch of Ruin and A Gate of Retribution by Scarlett St. Clair

When I initially read A Touch of Ruin by Scalett St. Clair, I was wondering what the heck Hades was doing the majority of the time. He's apart from Persephone for a large amount of time, not to mention he doesn't really get into his motives or reasons for things. So, I was looking forward to A Game of Retribution coming out. Now that it's been released, I'm sharing a tandem reading guide between the two. This is not perfectly lined but as close as possible without going by the page.…
