I finally got past my book burn-out that From Blood and Ash series had left me with. That is the longest burn-out I’ve had in a while. Furyborn is the first in The Empirium Trilogy by Claire Legrand. I shall it come up on TikTok quite a few times as recommended with little to no details. The only thing going into the book that I knew was a comparison to Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. Though different in a way that The Empirium Triology is more in depth and thought out in a way.
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo is the conclusion of Shadow and Bone series. If you haven’t seen my posts on Shadow and Bone or Siege and Storm I would recommend checking out those first before reading my thoughts on the final book in the series. As there will be spoilers. If you want spoiler free, go to the OVERALL THOUGHTS section as I’ll be wrapping up my thoughts there without any of the plot points.
Time for the next book in the Shadow and Bone series by Leigh Bardugo, which is Siege and Storm. If you have not read Shadow and Bone first, or my thoughts while reading that book I would recommend it prior to continuing on with this post. As I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on Siege and Storm in this post along with my overall thoughts of the book (spoiler free in that section).
After finishing the Six of Crows duology, I was going to stay in the Grishaverse and head over to the original series Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. But due to the knowledge that I had gleamed from Six of Crows and TikTok, I kept getting anxious when it came to starting this book series. So, I had put it off and returned to other series I had already read. As I felt like I knew too much in a way, or had too high of expectations to enjoy reading the book. But after a month or so, I finally forced myself to get past that and start Shadow and Bone. Once I started, I couldn’t put the book down.
