So when I first got the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara I often mis-write it has Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara… not realizing that there actually was a mascara with that name. So I thought I would actually give that one a try since I fail all of the time with writing the name as mascara. So let’s just make it even more confusing when I’m writing what mascara I’m using by having both. And this post in particular might get a little odd or confusing since I’ll be mentioning both a lot.

Claims from Tarte

Now I love the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara but after trying the Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara I have to this does so much better at giving your lashes length. However, the two different length bristles can make it a bit painful. So you have to be a bit careful to make sure you don’t get the long, firm side too close to your lid or you will poke yourself. That’s one thing I don’t notice with the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara.

Now both mascaras are long-lasting and don’t flake off during the middle of the day, so it’s really just how much length and volume you want added to your lashes that’s the difference between the two. Now I don’t know if I would call one 330% volume and the other 753% volume, since how can one honestly determine that. But overall, it is accurate that the Flashes mascara gives more volume than the Lashes Mascara. Regardless both are amazing mascaras and I really love both. I just would be more careful with the Flashes one as compared to the Lashes one. Though probably going forward I’m going to get the Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Mascara… which is the waterproof version. Mainly as I keep watching damn shows that make me cry and if I can prevent it from running as much as possible I will. And yes, I cry at shows and movies… just not real life. So yeah. Good mascaras. Highly recommend. Ok, I’ll see myself out now.
