Something that I haven't gotten in a while is a good new set of eyeshadows. And my favorite brand of eyeshadows is tarte, they were the first non-drug store eyeshadow I ever tried and continues to stay on my favorites every day. So when I saw there was a paintbox collector's case at Sephora with 24 eyeshadows, a blush, a highlighter, a bronzer, a contour, a mascara, a eyeliner, and a gloss I just had to get it. The entire set was $59 but is valued at $418. So yes, it's a bit up there but you get a lot in the case so it is totally worth the price.
The eyeshadows in this case are each 0.031 oz and include: Glitter Glue, Nude, Bronze Casting, Silhoutte, Waterlines, van Gogh with it, Metal Work, Charcoal Sketch, Pearl Earring, Frameworthy, First Impression, Starry Night, Fresco, Hearts & Crafts, Selfie Portrait, One Too Manet, Porcelain Dali, Monochrome, hot MoMa, Stained Glass, Pastel, I Lourve It, Get Surreal, and Still Life. They range from nude to bronze to blue to pink to purple. So a little something for everyone and can create a huge variety of looks. The eyeshadows are either matte or shimmer, and seems about equally split between the two.
I also really enjoy the powders from tarte, they are very soft and blendable so I'm excited to try these as I do not have any of these shades from tarte. The blush is a coral shade called Moment. The highlighter is a champagne shade called Authentic. The bronzer is a shimmer called Unique. And lastly the matte contour is called Provacative. Each shade is 0.158 oz.
Other Products in Case
You git the sample size (0.10 oz) of the Tartiest last paint mascara in black, sample size (0.10 oz) of Rainforest of the Sea So Fine Micro Liner in Black, and a sample size (0.01 oz) of Tartiest glossy lip paint in Ovbi which is a warm nude..
I really love this palette as you literally only need this and a foundation or concealer. So the price is totally worth it, as you get twenty four shadows and the rest of the powders you need to create any look. Plus I love that this comes with mascaras, eyeliner, and a lip gloss. Plus the formula seems consistent throughout all the shades. I know Ulta has their own edition with Tarte for the holidays this year... and I'm really tempted to get it though it's very similar. Though the blush/contour/highlighter looks like it's on a paint tray.
What do you think of this collection? Which shade do you enjoy the most? I personally can't decide which shade I enjoy the most.
