The Eyeshadow Palettes That I Still Gravitate Towards

It’s been years since I reviewed makeup, mainly as I found that I had developed a collector mindset with makeup rather than using the palettes I already had. And while my reviews at the time were honest, I didn’t appreciate those palettes as much. As I was always onto the next palette to get the next review out. So, after I stopped reviewing makeup and moved away from watching every makeup brand release, I found myself appreciating what I had more. Plus, those palettes that were great really stood out as I still find myself reaching for those palettes even years later.

So, which palettes do I still believe stand out from the rest?

Now, these aren’t in any particular order. More like just what order they happen to be sitting in front of me while I’m writing this.

Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette

This formula will never fail to blow me away. The only thing I sometimes wish is that the palette was ever so slightly smaller so it’s easier to travel with. But I love that there are big pans within the palette so it lasts a long time.

Pur x RawBeautyKristi Double-Sided Pressed Pigment Palette

I love how this palette is split between rainbow bright colors on one side and grungy neutrals on the other. You can make a dramatic look or something way more subtle, and everything in between by mixing the two sides.

RawBeautyKristi x ColourPop At Forest Sight Pressed Powder Palette

This palette is one I will always love. It’s more of a fall-tone color range, but for me, those are things I always love. So, I get a lot of use out of this palette. And love to use it in combination with the palette above this one.

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Amazonian Clay Palette

One of the first ever mid-range palettes that I ever purchased and still one of my favorites to this day. It’s one I always bring with me when I travel as I know it’s reliable and I can get a great look out of it every time.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette

One of my favorite Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes with the velvet packaging. I love the color story of this palette as I love the warmer tones, which is why I kept this one over Modern Renaissance. But that one was a close second. And Soft Glam I found more use out of.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Jackie Aina Palette

Seriously one of my favorite palettes from Anastasia Beverly Hills and I wish it hadn’t come out around the same time they were rapidly releasing a bunch of palettes as I felt like they didn’t promote this palette as much as they should have. It’s got a great formula with a mix of grunge and jewel tones that appeals to the two modes I gravitate toward when it comes to my makeup.

Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette

The palette has a bit of everything. It’s one of the two go-to palettes I take with me whenever I have to travel anywhere. As it’s got a lot of variety for both day and night time looks. Plus, it’s got a great mirror.

Tati Beauty Vol 1 Palette

I’m still sad that Tati is no longer going to be making eyeshadow palettes as this first palette was amazing. I still love the format of this palette that there are six specific shades in multiple formulas: glitter, metallic, sequin, and matte. So, you can either create a look across the palette or within a specific shade. I would’ve loved to see what else Tati Beauty would’ve released as the formula of this palette across each type is great.

Morphe The Jaclyn Hill Palette

For this palette, I’m judging the quality of the palette, not the things the influencer has done or things regarding the brand. I haven’t purchased from them in years, but that doesn’t change my opinion of this palette. Specifically, the original palette with the original formula, not the reformulated one they released, the newer ones, or the vault as those don’t stand up against the original. This one has a great variety that is easy to blend without a lot of fallout.

What eyeshadow palettes are your favorite?
