Volume Up | June 2017 Ipsy Glambag

This month's Ipsy Glambag is dedicated to the loud and proud with a lovely pair of lips to remind you to always speak your mind. There is only one of these products that I have tried before which is the Trust Fund Beauty nail polish, otherwise I have never tried any of these products so I don't have any previous experience with these products. I also researched the brands that I've never tried before and reached out to the brands where I couldn't find their policy/stance on animal testing. All brands this month were cruelty free.

If you have never tried or heard the glambag from Ipsy before, it is a monthly subscription that costs $10 and you get 5 products every month that matches your preferences you entered into your beauty profile. You can also earn points that can be used to purchase other products through writing reviews on the items you received and referring others to Ipsy. Note: Additional products tend to sell out fast when they become available, from what I have seen in the past.

Beauty for Real I-Line 24-7 Eyeliner

Claims from Ipsy

  • Who has time to re-apply eye liner? (Not us!) This rich gel formula is SUPER pigmented and lasts all damn day, no touch-ups required.
  • It doesn’t dry immediately, so you’ll have some time to smudge and play with your line before it sets.
  • We’re not saying we WANT to be stranded on a desert island, but if we were, we’d want this liner with us! Why? It doesn’t require a sharpener!
  • Chocolate Fix is a dark matte chocolate brown that's perf for the days where a plain black liner won't cut it.

Review

This eyeliner is very pigmented as they claim, and just glides onto your skin with ease. Plus I love having a brown eyeliner in this glambag instead of a black as I just got a black eyeliner in the previous glambag. And I've been into a more neutral looks for at work then adding glam/color once I get home.

NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Soufflé

Claims from Ipsy

  • This pretty little two-timer can be used on your lips AND cheeks—perfect for the matchy matchy monochromatic look we keep seeing everywhere!
  • The whipped formula is so featherlight that it feels like nothing (but looks like a million bucks).
  • We’re obsessed with how this yummy pop of color instantly brightens up our entire complexion.
  • Pink Cloud is a warm pinky coral that's perf for a lit-from-within flush.

Review

I honestly didn't think that I would like this product when I first saw this product at Ulta/Target and never gave it a try. But I was wrong, I actually like using it as a blush. The color that I got was called Pink Cloud which I would describe as a light coral but they describe it as a warm pinky coral. I do agree that it gets you a lit-from-within flush. Which is exactly how I love my blush.

Dr. Lili Fan Probiotic Recovery Cream

Claims from Ipsy

  • We already know that probiotics are good for our insides (that’s why we OD on yogurt, right?), but they’re also AMAZING for our skin. That’s why we’re super obsessed with this probiotic-infused moisturizing miracle cream!
  • It’s also made with ultra powerful peptides and Vitamin C, which brightens up dull skin and enhances natural collagen reproduction (AKA makes us look younger.)
  • This stuff is legit. Aside from “skincare queen/anti-aging specialist”, Dr. Fan’s job titles ALSO include biochemist, microbiologist, and practicing ophthalmologist. NBD.

Review

This moisturizer is very cooling on the skin and smells slightly like cucumber. I do think that my skin feels really nice after applying this but the first test of any skin care is never telling. You need to try it for a month to really see a difference. But I really enjoyed it so far.

Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara

Claims from Ipsy

  • We’re kinda self-conch about our puny lashes, but this lash-fattening formula makes our fringe look insanely lush, fluttery, and fab. Instant confidence boost!
  • No lash left behind! The chubby wand coats everrrry last little lash so you’re really making the most of what you have.
  • Since the shade is SO inky black, it’s perf for creating that seriously 60s Twiggy vibe with our bottom lashes (which was ALL over the runways BTW).

Review

My eyelashes look really nice with this on though I do see some clumping which is not personally my favorite. But I can overlook that since it's the look this is supposed to give you since it makes your lashes really lush and the brush covers literally every lash. I'll have to try it a few more times to see if my opinion stays the same or changes with the slight clumping of the lashes.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish

Claims from Ipsy

  • Ultra-opaque. Insanely shiny. Unbelievably chip-resistant. You’re NOT gonna find a better polish out there. #trust
  • Fact: The badass, bold shade is GUARANTEED to get you lots of likes on your #manimonday grams.
  • It’s summer. Live free! (Cruelty-free, 10-free, paraben-free, and GMO-free, to be exact.)
  • What's a Budget is the ultimate sea-foam blue that we can't wait to rock at pool parties.

Review

I've tried this nail polish before just not this color. And it is one of my favorites as it applies to the nail in one coat evenly. Plus I really wanted a mint/sea-foam blue color as I didn't have one in my nail polish collection after I donated all my nail polish that wasn't cruelty free.

Overall I'm really happy about this month's bag! And will continue to get these in the future. If you subscribe to Ipsy, what did you get in your glambag? Otherwise, if you've tried any of these before let me know your thoughts on them!
