This brand has been killing the market lately so I wanted to test out a few of their new products. And while I was testing things out I figured I might as well do a full face using only Wet’n’Wild products. There were a few items I used that were not Wet’n’Wild in the final look but those are not being included in either the video I filmed for my YouTube channel or for here.
I have been on the hunt lately for a good foundation and after seeing Jeffree Star and Tati Westbrook test this out on their channels, I had to try it for myself. Especially as Wet’n’Wild is one of the few cruelty free brands at the drugstore. Now I still love my Tarte clay foundation but I need something to go back and forth with so my skin doesn’t turn sour towards the foundation as it does every now and then. Plus the Photo Focus Foundation from Wet’n’Wild is only $5.99. Wet’n’Wild created this foundation to be high-performing and skin-perfecting as they did testing with the foundation under seven different photo lighting conditions to ensure it stays flawless all the time. It has a wonderful matte finish and leaves your skin looking marvelous even if you have a bunch of acne. I purchased: Rose Ivory (Light Cool), Shell Ivory (Fair Neutral), and Nude Ivory (Light Neutral) as I wasn’t sure which one perfectly matched my skin tone when ordering online. Depending on the day I think I’m somewhere between Rose Ivory and Nude Ivory.
I also got the CoverAll Face Primer for $4.99 which I didn’t see a major difference with but it did leave my skin looking consistent even if it was a bit pink in the video and kept my foundation on all day long. I also used the Photo Focus Concealer in Light Ivory under the eyes for $3.99, and it hid my bags like it was nobody’s business!
On my eyes I used the Au Naturel palette in Bare Necessities as well as the Photo Focus eyeshadow primer that both I previously had purchased. The Au Naturel palette is almost an exact dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette. A new product that I tested out on my eyes was the ProLine Felt Tip Eyeliner in black which was $3.99. I love the felt tip style eyeliner as I find it gives me the best results when doing my eyeliner. For my lashes I decided to go with some false lashes for the day, these ones were called Shutter Shock and costed only $0.99. So I really want to try some more of their lashes in the future. It’s less than a buck and looked beautiful on my lids.
For face powders, I went with the ColorIcon Blush in Rose Champagne that I’ve used numerous times previously and tested out the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals which is $4.99. I have to say I was a little taken back by how good the highlighter looked. It looked natural and glowly without looking like a glitter just stuck on the top of my cheekbones.
Lastly I got myself several of their MegaLast Liquid Lip Colors which are each $2.99. The shades I got were: I Can Bare it, High-Pitched Wine, Rose to the Occasion, Iris I Was Rich, Cherry on Top, and Coral Me Bad. Each of these shades is gorgeous and they last a long time. Though they do not hold out through eating but it at least looks like a natural wear rather than a outright mess.
To set everything I used the PhotoFocus Setting Spray which is my holy grail of makeup setting sprays.
Overall, I loved everything I tried for this look. Let me know if you would like more of these first impressions of a bunch of new items from a singular brand and I’ll do more in the future!
