Recently I’ve been binge-watching Kelly Eden’s videos on YouTube and one of the videos she did reminded me a lot of a collective blog I follow called Introvert, Dear as it’s all about the Introverted Personality Types. So I thought it would be a fun idea to take this quiz myself and see what my Personality Type was. I already knew that I was Introverted, but the other others were slightly a mystery. The quiz takes about 12 minutes to complete and you get one of 16 personalities based off of your results.

INFP-A: The Mediator

So I got the mediator and at first I wasn’t sure if that was accurate, but after reading the description and retaking the quiz several times I got the same result over and over again with just the last piece going back and forth since I’m pretty much in between the two of them. This is the exact breakdown that I got practically every time:

  • 73% Introverted
  • 82% Intuitive
  • 64% Feeling
  • 54% Prospecting
  • 52% Assertive

What is a Mediator?

So now that we have the breakdown of my personality, what actually is the Mediator which is the title that the quiz gave me? They are a diplomat and a true idealist. They are always looking for a hint of even in even the worst of people and events. They may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, Mediators have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Which I totally agree with. Apparently this personality makes up about 4% of the population and they are often misunderstood. Plus being part of the diplomat role group, we are guided by our principles rather than by logic (Analysts), excitement (Explorers) or practicality (Sentinels). When deciding how to move forward, they will look to honor, beauty, morality and virtue – Mediators are led by the purity of their intent, not rewards and punishments. People who share the Mediator personality type are proud of this quality, and rightly so, but not everyone understands the drive behind these feelings, and it can lead to isolation.

Mediator Weaknesses

  • Too Idealistic
  • Too Altruistic
  • Impractical
  • Dislike Dealing With Data
  • Take Things Personally
  • Difficult to Get to Know

Mediator Strengths

  • Idealistic
  • Seek and Value Harmony
  • Open-Minded and Flexible
  • Very Creative
  • Passionate and Energetic
  • Dedicated and Hard-Working

Though I do agree with a large majority of this being me to a tee, somethings are just slightly off in my opinion. But that could just me also having two personalities in a way when it comes to how I am at work, versus how I am at home. As these are not always 100% the same, since I will change my way of thinking depending on which situation I am in.

What is your Personality type? Do you agree with it or find parts that aren’t 100% true? Take the quiz yourself and let me know your results in the comments.
