WWW Wednesday: November 25, 2020

Time for another WWW Wednesday. I didn’t do one the previous week as I didn’t honestly get around to reading much. I tried getting as much progress as possible done on my book for NaNoWriMo, currently I’m at 28K out of 50K words. But my laptop battery exploded, so I have to put that on hold until my new computer arrives and I get everything transferred over to that. At least it’s forcing me to spend that time reading.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking On A World of Words. WWW Wednesday is based on 3 questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading

I am currently reading Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. Which is described as being similar to City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, which is one of my favorite series of all time (all of hers. Though I haven’t read the newest one yet as I’m awaiting for all the books to be released first) and King Arthur. I’m really looking forward to reading this book. As my computer recently died, I plan on reading and finishing this book within the next week. Hopefully, I have that review up soon.

Recently Finished

I finished reading Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas on Sunday, and posted my review of that book. I really enjoyed the story and couldn’t put the book down the moment I started to read it. I loved the characters and while I wasn’t overly surprised by the twist there were elements to it that did get me. And would totally recommend this book to anyone that what’s something that’s YA, LGBTQ+, and paranormal.

I also finished reading How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories by Holly Black the same day I received it. This novella is from The Folk of the Air series from Cardan’s POV taking place both before the main series and some time after it. I shared my thoughts on that book as well already yesterday. It’s a short read but an enjoyable one.

Up Next

Next, I’m planning on reading Iron Heart by Nina Varela, which is the sequel to Crier’s War. As I mentioned in my last WWW Wednesday, I’m hoping this will be better than the first book (as in not as rushed), as well I liked that book it took me a while to get through it as I felt it was weak and rushed in some places. But I told myself when I had finished Crier’s War that I would finish the series. So, we’re going to be finishing it.

What’s on your reading list at the moment? Or if you’re doing NaNoWriMo how are you doing so far?

Love ya,

Mae Polzine
