This has been a massive trend on YouTube and I wanted to give it a go myself. I hadn’t been feeling great the last few days and today I woke up feeling 100% better, so I thought I would try my hand at this. Now I don’t know who the originator of this trend was considering I know a lot of people have done following “blank” tutorials for a while. So when I was debating on what tutorial to follow two individuals came to mind: JKissa Makeup and Glam & Gore. So when looking at their videos, the Mad Max inspired makeup tutorial just called to me so I decided to give it a go myself.…

I typically wear the same look or almost the same look every single day. Just substitute the colors around a little for some variety. At the moment I’m living in the BH Cosmetics Zodiac Palette with just some concealer under my eyes and a nude ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick on my lips.…

2018 finally seems like the year of inclusive ranges and demanding more of beauty ranges. Which is 100% something I can get behind. But there are still some brands that haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, they still are in their old ways and pretending they didn’t mean that. So I wanted to focus today on cruelty free brands that have inclusive foundation ranges from the fairest of skin tones to the darkest of skin tones.…

Even though I’m on a very restricted budget, I am still giving myself forty dollars for anything extra that my come up that I need. Like makeup remover or concealer if I run out. And that’s exactly what happened. My Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer and one of my Tarte Shape Tapes has no product remaining. And my other concealers are starting to run low as well since I use that on a daily basis, whereas foundation I do not. But getting one shape tape would mean I’m almost out of my budget on just one item, and sure I could get another Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer as I did enjoy that but they don’t have a shade that light enough for my under eye area to brighten it up. So I went digging through the cruelty free brands at Ulta that I would classify as drugstore, and came across the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour. Which has a name very similar to Tape Shape’s full name and has a similar applicator from the looks of it online. Makeup Revolution is known to make a lot of dupe or copied products, and I figured why not give it a try.…

Ulta has been expanding their inventory with a lot of different brands lately, and one of the newer brands that I’ve seen hit their store is BH Cosmetics. Which is a drugstore brand based in Los Angeles that I have not seen in any other stores in my area. One of their palettes really interested me as I love astrology, this was the Zodiac palette. This palette includes 25 eyeshadows (12 baked shimmers and 12 buttery mattes), and one highlighter that can also be used as an eyeshadow. The Zodiac Palette is also gluten free which I know for some people is extremely important to consider when purchasing makeup. I wouldn’t say this palette is travel friendly due to it’s size but you could create a large number of looks out of this palette.…
