Athena/Minerva: Goddess of War Strategy and Wisdom

Athena/Minerva: Goddess of War Strategy and Wisdom

For the third look, since Athena/Minerva is the goddess of war strategy and wisdom I love I would try to showcase that using golds and bronze colors. Now when I originally planned and tested the look, it turned out completely different to when I filmed it. So you can see in the end I ended up just switching the look of the head piece that this goddess is often seen wearing.

My Tattoo Story & What I Want To Get In The Future

My Tattoo Story & What I Want To Get In The Future

To start my tattoo story I have to begin with where I got the inspiration for my first tattoo that I got when I turned eighteen, the legal age you have to be in order to get a tattoo without parental consent. When I was in eighth grade I went on a mission trip to New Orleans, which was several years but still shortly after Hurricane Katrina. While I was there helping to run a summer camp for kids in the area, one of the counselors had a faith/hope tattoo on her wrist. And I fell in love with it even drawing my own version for years until I finally got one of my own. Though it wasn’t the one I drew, but one that the tattoo parlor I went to for about half of my tattoos had. Though my body hates literally any kind of needle if I’m watching it, I got my first tattoo. It was not painful in by means. Though I did faint halfway through because like an idiot I watched the needle as it tattooed my wrist.

Nyx/Nox: Goddess of Night

Nyx/Nox: Goddess of Night

The second Goddess in the collection is Nyx/Nox or the goddess of the night, who was feared by Zeus and is the daughter of Chaos. She was also the mother to sleep, death, and darkness. And I thought it was only right to do this look using mainly NYX products. For this look I wanted to go something more Avant Garde with a galaxy effect created using various cream paints of purples, teals, blues, and white/silvers.

NYX Butter Gloss: Tiramisu, Madeleine, and Creme Brulee Review

NYX Butter Gloss: Tiramisu, Madeleine, and Creme Brulee Review

When I was preparing for battle of the liquid lipsticks, I bought a lot of nude lipsticks and I ended up accidentally buying some lip glosses. Including the NYX Butter Gloss which I have fallen in love with though I do not typically like lip glosses as I find them rather tacky. I ended up purchasing three butter glosses in the shades: Tiramisu, Madeleine, and Creme Brulee. I really want to get the other shades of this gloss. There are 34 shades in this collection from NYX. Each tube of the butter gloss is $5.

Dog Reactive on Leash tips

Dog Reactive on Leash tips

My mom and sister’s dog Winnie Bear is very dog reactive when she’s on a lease. And we’re positive it’s because she’s terrified of running into another dog when she’s on a lease. She’s great with Pixie, but any dog she sees on a lease she goes into full panic mode. It may not appear that way by her smile or waging tail, but underneath this front she doesn’t know how to handle the situation of running into another dog. And she wasn’t always good about Pixie either, they had to build up a lot of trust before Winnie was fine to be left alone with Pixie. So what do you do when your dog is terrified of other dogs? Especially when trying to take them for a walk.

NYX Avant Pop Nouveau Chic Palette Review

NYX Avant Pop Nouveau Chic Palette Review

I love getting new eyeshadow palettes that are different than other ones I have in my collection. Either in finish or colors, because as much as I love wearing nude colors I also want some that have a bit of color. And this palette from NYX has a bunch of different muted colors that are perfect for a very subtle look. This palette is my go to in the morning before work to create a quick look for the day. And does have some great shades for both day and night.
