A Month Offline: Life Lately

It’s been a month since I signed offline. And I will admit it’s been hard to stay off everything. And truthfully I came back online a few days ago so I could get things ready for this week. I did cave in and allow myself YouTube but only on the weekends. So I wouldn’t be completely cut off from the world. But I wasn’t allowed to watch anything involving drama, so basically I’ve just been watching gaming and music videos. As beauty videos often have drama and same with vlogs. I have no idea what’s happened while I was away. I know what happened in world and US news but that’s about it. And I don’t know if I even want to look it up. And frankly I don’t care to look it up.

Also sorry for the overload of “Is (BLANK) Cruelty Free?” I really wanted to write those posts but I know if you’re not interesting in that kind of thing it’s a little much. Since I’m back online those will be reduced to only on the weekends. I promise so everything will be more balanced again.

So what have I been up to?

October Monthly Goals

October Monthly Goals

I’M BACK! I haven’t been online all month. Tomorrow I’ll be sharing what I’ve been up to so I’m going to save that for then and focus more on the goals here. And I don’t have that many as I took the month of September to really reflect on what I want to do for the rest of the year and I think I have come up with a rough plan depending on how some things go. But some of those things depend on work, as I’m sort of in a new position at work so a lot of things are changing. And I’m loving it so far.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the latest game in the Zelda franchise for the Nintendo Switch. Similar to that of Ocarina of Time, this game is open world and can be completed in any order. And is filled with puzzles and enemy camps with treasure and weapons. There is well over 50 hours of game-play during on if you take the time to explore every inch of the world or just stick to the main plot of the game. Breath of the Wild takes place in an untamed, post-apocalyptic, techno-fantasy land of Hyrule where Link has been asleep for a century with little to no memory of the events that occurred prior to his slumber when Calamity Ganon took over Hyrule and corrupting all of the ancient technology built to stop him.

Miitopia Review

Miitopia Review

Nintendo recently released a game on the 3DS called Miitopia, which is a role playing game where you can create Mii characters that either resemble your friends or other people. And you have to face the world from the Dark Lord, who is stealing people’s faces and putting them onto monsters. You travel with a party of four each with their own class or specialty that you can choose. Characters also gain relationship between each other outside of battle that effects battles with monsters. And it’s adorable and fun to play.

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: Imperial Legion vs Storm Cloaks

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: Imperial Legion vs Storm Cloaks

I’ve been really into playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim lately. Like way more than I’m into playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. Mainly just because I played the same level or section of the game like ten times, and it made me really annoyed. So I’m taking a break to refind my love of the game. So in the meantime I’m playing Skyrim. Which I’ve only ever completed using speedrun tactics, and I’m trying not to do that this time and I’ve definitely gotten into it. And wanted to write a few posts about it. For today’s post as you can tell from the title, I wanted to focus on Imperial Legion vs. Stormcloaks. More so just comparing the two main groups in the civil war over Skyrim. There are several clans that fall on either side of the rebellion (Battle-born and Gray-Mane being located in Whiterun, Black-Briars of Riften, and Silver-Bloods of Markarth).

Zelda’s Adventure Review

Zelda’s Adventure Review

I mentioned this game in my last Legend of Zelda review for Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, that this was the other CD-i game Nintendo licensed for Sony’s CD-i.  But unlike the previous two games, this one took the approach of using live-action cut scenes and characters instead of cartoons/animations. It’s also the only Legend of Zelda game to do this, but that doesn’t mean they are any good.
