Essential Blogging Tools: What I Use Regularly for My Blog

Essential Blogging Tools: What I Use Regularly for My Blog

I post new things on my blog almost every single day of the week. In order to do this, I have to stay rather organized to make sure everything runs smoothly. So these are all the tools that I use in order to accomplish this. And I find it fascinating to see what other bloggers use to run their blogs.…

New Photo Style I’m Obsessed With

New Photo Style I’m Obsessed With

So I've been trying to figure out something different to do with my blog photography that's not insanely similar to everyone else's blog. So I started playing around with my photos and looking back on old scrapbooks I have that I used to do yearly before I started blogging. Plus after playing Life is Strange, Max had a journal that had a lot of drawings around her writing that I just loved how artist/creative it was. So I wanted to pull those elements into my blog with my photography.…

Handling Blog Burn Out

Handling Blog Burn Out

Ever since I moved back to my mom's house, I've been dealing with a little bit of blogging and YouTube burn out. This is a very common thing that happens in the blogging community but isn't talked about that much. It's especially unavoidable to anyone that blogs or posts daily. Every day you're producing something creative and working very hard from being the author, photographer, and marketing director of everything you produce. And that takes a lot of time and energy, which leads to the unfortunate burn out. So I thought I would share how I deal with those overwhelming moments and how I push through them to keep blogging every day.…

Introducing the New Mae Polzine Blog

Introducing the New Mae Polzine Blog

Back in 2015 when I first started blogging, I had one blog where I talked about just anything I wanted to from video games to beauty. Then in 2016, I removed video game type posts from maepolzine.com and moved it to its own blog that I was sharing with my then-roommate. Over the course of the year and a half that blog existed, a lot changed from the name to how focused I was on it. It got to a point on each blog where I was constantly wondering "what next." I was splitting my attention so much it was becoming hard to keep up with both. Or I didn't want to write on one for days while the other one I had loads of ideas. To a point where I wasn't putting out good quality of either since I was just posting things to post things though they weren't the quality I wanted them to be.…

Never Run out of Ideas for Blogmas Again

Never Run out of Ideas for Blogmas Again

A few years ago, I got into daily blogging through doing Blogmas. Which is you are not aware what this is, it's basically where you write every single day leading up until Christmas about holiday related topics. Now I'm not going to be doing that this year as I already blog every day but don't feel like writing about only Christmas thus pushing off anything else that may come up until after the holiday is over. But I still love and appreciate everyone who does it. So I thought I would help any one who does want to join in the festivities on their blog.…

Thoughts on Staying True to Yourself in a Constantly Changing Blogging Community

Thoughts on Staying True to Yourself in a Constantly Changing Blogging Community

I've been blogging here for almost two years now. And a lot has changed in that time period, both how I approached blogging to the topics I write about to the community surrounding blogging. And it's tempting to follow the trends of what everyone else is doing. From similar layouts to topics you write about. But staying true to yourself seems like one of the most difficult things to do in the even changing blogging community, especially when it's really tempting to get caught up in all the ways to drive traffic and get views/followers.…

Things I’ve Started to Do Naturally Since Becoming a Beauty Blogger

Things I’ve Started to Do Naturally Since Becoming a Beauty Blogger

When I originally started my blog, I was a makeup newbie. I had just started to use makeup on a daily basis that was more than just eyeliner and lipstick. And now I have a collection that is filled to the brim and like 100 products I want to add to it at any given moment. And I would have to say that comes from finding a love for blogging about beauty. I have seen a few bloggers do something similar to this including A Girl, Obsessed and I wanted to do this myself as I thought it was a fun idea for a blog post.…
