Hey Howl Pack

It’s Mae Polzine! I started this blog back in 2015 to be a place where I could be creative and share things that I love. So, I post a variety of things. I stream a variety of things (gaming, body paint, art, etc.) on Twitch multiple times a week, with stream highlights and all VODs posted on my YouTube Channel.

Lastly, join our Discord to chat with other pack members. We have a great and supportive community over there. I love talking with everyone in Discord as it’s a great way to connect. Also, I offer Twitch emotes, sub badges, and moreover on my shop page as well as my own merch.

Give Me a Topic, Get a Recommendation

I have been seeing this come up on my FYP for TikTok for the last week or so. Mainly from Barnes & Noble employees. One of them goes up to their co-workers with slips of paper, and whatever is on that slip the employee has to recommend a book. So, I thought I would do the same thing. Only instead of asking co-workers, I asked those on my Discord server. I might make this a series, so leave your “tropes” or “topics” in the comments and they might get featured in the next one of these.

I Have No Idea Where to Start My Book TBR

In a recent post, I mentioned how I did a massive book haul. That’s a bit of an understatement. So, I decided to pull every book off my shelf that I want to read. And honestly, I have no idea where I even want to start with tackling this pile. Granted, I already started it last month and have posted reviews on every book that I read. This is not even everything if I’m being 100% honest. There are some books I got last year that should be in here as well, but considering how many books this already is I didn’t go back to grab those. Maybe I’ll end up reading those before some of these, but I thought this would be a fun post to do while I debate on what to read next. Hell, you guys might help me pick which one to start with.

The 20 Question Book Tag

I saw this tag on Ellie’s blog, Read to Ramble, and she was tagged by Sabrina over at Sabrina’s Booktails, who found this tag on Prutha’s blog, The Confessions of A Music and Book Addict, and after searching through loads of other posts… I can’t find the original author of this tag nor could Ellie. If you know it, please share in the comments. But I wanted to do this tag since it looked interesting and I need something to blog about during the stretches between books. Since I don’t have time to read long books in one sitting at the moment.

Goals for January 2021

Considering how 2020 went, I’m not going to make plans for the year. Instead I’m going to take things month by month, and see how it goes. Mostly as I don’t know what the world is going to be like, nor my life for that matter. I’ve been trying my hardest with keeping busy to prevent too much idle time from getting to me, as I cannot handle being idle. Which results in me working full time from home, streaming at least four times a week for three to five hours each time, moderating other people’s streams, and running/moderating multiple discords. On top of other hobbies like reading and art… let’s just say I’m always doing something. And I don’t plan on changing that in 2021. So, I thought I would share some of my goals at least for January.

12 Days of Christmas Book Tag

I wasn’t tagged to do the 12 Days of Christmas Book Tag, but I really liked the concept after seeing it on Ellie’s blog (Read to Ramble). So, I’m going to do it as well. This tag was originally created by Lizzie Loves Books.

Books I’ve Purchased Recently that I Seriously Need to Read (aka Book Haul)

So, I got seriously into reading than after binging a lot of good series, I fell not really into a reading slump as I haven’t stopped reading but I haven’t really touched new books. I’ve just been re-reading all of my favorite series. And have way, way, way too many that I purchased but haven’t read. Nor can get myself to read as I’m too nervous to reach for them for fear they won’t live up to expectations. As a lot of these I learned through BookTok (TikTok) as being great books.
