The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character Book Tag

The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character Book Tag

I'll be honest I have never read this book series as I somehow missed it in middle school/high school, but it's on my TBR list. And with the TV Show adaptation coming to Disney + I'm really need to get to these books. I have seen the two movie adaptations, which I didn't think were the worst (can't compare it to the books to know if it was actually bad) but they also weren't the best. I was tagged by Sarah to do this tagged created by May from Forever and Everly. …

While I wasn't tagged to do this, I saw it over on BooksNest and considering I have been religiously playing Animal Crossing New Horizons every day, I wanted to give it a go myself. This tag was created by Angharad and Becky at Two Book Thieves.…

Book Series I Frequently Return To

Book Series I Frequently Return To

When I was a little kid, it was hard press to get me to pick up a book. I couldn't spell or understand most of the words even though I liked the concept of books. This for the longest time turned me off from books, so I can't say any books when I was younger had any real impact on me. Though that all changed roughly in sixth or seventh grade when I found a series I couldn't put down. Since that time period, there have been numerous books that I read without ever wanting to put the books down. So, I thought I would write about some of those series especially the ones that I've read countless times.…

The Pop Culture Download #13: Clockwork Prince & Clockwork Princess

The Pop Culture Download #13: Clockwork Prince & Clockwork Princess

This week I have been heavily reading completing the rest of The Infernal Devices series: Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess, by Cassandra Clare. Now I have no idea what I'm going to go onto next. Comparing the three series in the Shadowhunter Chronicles, I would have to put this one in second place after the first half of The Mortal Instruments (City of Bones to City of Glass). I love the second half of The Mortal Instruments, but The Infernal Devices just ranks slightly higher than those. The Dark Artifices comes in after followed by Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. …

The Pop Culture Download #5: The Dark Artifices – Queen of Air and Darkness

I'm still without internet of my own, though I did manage to find a hotspot that I can use enough to hop onto momentarily to write up some blog posts. It's not good enough to watch YouTube, stream movies, or any of that kind of thing. I should be getting it shortly after this post goes live, and I'm beyond ready to get back into blogging and filming YouTube videos. Luckily this break has allowed me to transform my apartment, I'm just about done for the meantime in putting it together so I'll have more apartment diary posts coming out soon.…

The Mortal Instruments vs Shadowhunters: Which Member of Team Evil is the Worst: Clary, Jace or Jonathan?

The Mortal Instruments vs Shadowhunters: Which Member of Team Evil is the Worst: Clary, Jace or Jonathan?

Shadowhunters officially ended yesterday, I'm still working on my final comparison post which should be up tomorrow or the day following comparing the two part finale to the final book in The Mortal Instruments series. So I thought I would so something fun that I didn't dive too deeply into in my book to show comparison posts. And that's exploring the three characters of Team Evil (Clary, Jace, and Jonathan) between both the show and books to see which individual was truly the worst. I'm going to do each character against themselves and then from the least to most evil.…
