For the first Saturday (Caturday) of December, we decided to take on Classic Christmas characters. I let my Discord decide between a few iconic characters who I could become. They ended up deciding I would turn into the Grinch. And I seriously love how this turned out.
Merry Christmas everyone and if you don’t celebrate the holiday, then happy holidays or just have a great day. Hope you don’t mind this post being so short, I just wanted to hop on real quick to say Merry Christmas as I’m spending the whole week with my family so I won’t be posting a whole lot until after the holidays are over. Now I’m not going to take a picture of what I got but in case you were curious this is what I got for Christmas this year.
Continuing on with my seasonal creative makeup looks, I did this snowman look inspired by @vocallyshook. To be honest I have not built a snowman in many years… I think the last one I made was in college and then for a class assignment we had to do something against social norms, which promptly lead to me making at least part of the snowman in my bikini. It was extremely cold, and I regretted it immediately. But hey it led to an interesting memory and photo (not that I’m showing it on here).
One of my favorite Christmas movies of all time is How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. I could honestly quote that movie all season long and even after that. So, when I saw Peachcait over on Instagram created a look inspired by the movie in an ornament, I knew I had to do my own version of it. While hers is half of her face, I kept mine as added detail to the look. Mainly as I can’t wear colored contacts and I wanted to do something I little bit different. Check out her original version of the look as it is incredible!
‘Tis the season for Advent Calendars. I didn’t any for myself this year, but after seeing videos from Nicol Concilio and Jenna Marbles where they made ones for their dogs, I decided make one as well. Only mine also includes a “treat” for myself, that being starburst that I still had from Halloween. I had a lot of fun making it.
I don’t have a big tree to decorate this year though I did help my mom with hers. And hers isn’t the same color palette that I would go for. Granted this look isn’t that either unless you count the rainbow icicle string of lights that I have on my balcony for the season. Since we’re in the midst of Blogmas, I thought I would try my best at a recreation of this tangled up in Christmas lights look by Abbey Strohmeyer (and inspired by Sandra on Instagram). Check out their versions of this look as both are incredible.
