Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Smile Rancher

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Smile Rancher

Last palette I'm doing in the dream palette series is inspired by Smile Rancher. This game is just so freaking cute. It takes place on a faraway planet and you play as a player named Beatrix LeBeau who starts a ranch from the ground up. But you're not raising cattle or chickens but instead slimes of various sizes and characteristics. After feeding slimes you will receive plorts that can be exchanged for the planet's currency to purchase upgrades, equipment, and buildings. Slimes can be combined with another but three different characteristics cause corruption, turning the once cute slime into an aggressive malevolent black slime called Tarr which devours other slimes. The types of slimes include: Pink, Phosphor, Tabby, Quantum, Honey, Puddle, Tangle, Saber, Hunter, Dervish, Rock, Fire, Boom, Crystal, Mosaic, Rad, Gold, and Lucky. The larger slimes are referred to as Gordos. …

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Alice: Madness Returns

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Alice: Madness Returns

Next up in this dream palette series, I'm making a palette inspired by Alice: Madness Returns. This game is a darker version of Alice in Wonderland. In which Alice has gone mad following her family's death in a fire which she initially believes she was responsive for. Alice is 19 and living at an orphanage in Victorian London under the care of Dr. Bumby. Who uses hypnosis to help his child patients forget their memories. Alice refuses to give up on what happened to her family and begins to hallucinate of Wonderland. Which has become corrupted by an outside force with the use of an Infernal Train.…

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Legend of Zelda

Next up in this dream palette series, I'm making a palette inspired by Legend of Zelda. I've been binge watching Game Grumps playing the games and enjoying some Breath of the Wild when I have spare time. Each game focuses on Link in his attempt to rescue Princess Zelda to save the kingone of Hyrule from Ganon. And each one involves the relic known as the Triforce representing the virtues of Courage, Wisdom, and Power. If you want to know more about the lore of the games and how they are all connected, I wrote about them earlier.…

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Subnautica

Next up in this dream palette series, I'm making a palette inspired by a game that I have been really enjoying over the course of the last year. That being Subnautica, which also just released in early access a follow up or standalone expansion to the first game called Subnautica: Below Zero. In Subnautica, you play as the lone survivor of the Aurora on an unknown alien plant called 4546B. You have to survive in the underwater open-world and attempt to escape the planet. In order to do so you need to cure yourself and the planet from a disease known as Kharaa. I won't give too many spoilers as I seriously enjoy the game and think it's something that should be experienced through exploration.…

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Mass Effect

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Mass Effect

Next up in this dream palette series, I'm going to a series I have a love/hate relationship with. Love Mass Effect 2 and would rank it as one of my all-time favorite games, and Mass Effect 3 which I refuse to play or touch with a ten foot pole. Maybe one day I'll go past the opening sequence, but today is not that day. If you have never played Mass Effect, it is an action RGP third-person shooter video game developed by BioWare. The first three games in the series follow Commander Shepard, whose mission in all of the games is to save the galaxy from powerful mechanical beings known as the Reapers. The Reapers have been away for 50,000 years and are determined to wipe out all sentient organic life in the galaxy as part of a recurrent cycle of genocide that Shepard is tasked to break in one of three ways. The fact that you have to pick one of three and not just get one of them as a result is another reason I won't play Mass Effect 3.…

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Dragon Age

Making My Own Dream Palette Inspired by Dragon Age

I got this idea from Aleesha on YouTube, she created her own version of a Kingdom Hearts eyeshadow palette and I wanted to do something really similar. So I did my own version of a Dragon Age palette, I used one of Dose of Colours palettes as my template as you can probably tell since I didn't fully blur out the name in the brush. Dragon Age is one of my all time favorite video game series. I have played each game to completion around six times each and probably will do so again many times in the future. It's just a story I don't get bored of experiencing. As you can always do something slightly different and get different endings.…
