Can We Dupe it? Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Palette

Can We Dupe it? Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Palette

At the beginning of 2020, Jeffree Star announced that the Alien Palette, which has been out of stock for some time will no longer be coming back. Since this is one of my favorite palettes even though I broke it when I took it out of the original packaging, I was debating on getting a second which now will no longer be happening. So, I thought I would bring back this series and see if I can come up with some dupes for my favorite shades in that palette.…

Can We Dupe it? Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Palette

Can We Dupe it? Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Palette

I'm going to do a new mini-series on my blog where I take some of the palettes out of my luxury or high end bin and try to recreate it using individual shadows that I have in my collection. I'm not going to do every palette in my collection as some of them have a lot of shadows that I know I can't recreate. And I don't know of the palettes I picked out if I can honestly recreate them completely but that's why I wanted to do this series. As I'm mentioning I'm just going to focus on recreating the palettes from individual shadows as in the end if I have a lot of the same tones I'm going to de-clutter those pans. 'Cause I can't think of any better way to go through them where I won't instantly go where is that one shadow. So to start with I'm going to start with one of the more recent palettes to join my collection: Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera.…

Is ColourPop x Becky G Salvaje Palette a Dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette?

Is ColourPop x Becky G Salvaje Palette a Dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette?

Now initially when I did my review of the ColourPop x Becky G Salvaje Palette I did not think it was that similar to anything in my collection until Cleia pointed it out if you exclude the teal shades. So I wanted to do a little comparison and determine just how similar the two palettes are. I'm just going to be doing swatch comparisons of shades that seem similar to do the comparison. Of course they aren't exact dupes as there are several shade differences between the palettes like Salvaje having teal tones and Soft Glam has a black shadow.…

Comparing Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette with Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Palette

Comparing Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette with Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Palette

In the past I called the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Palette a dupe to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette before I even had that palette. Now that I have the Subculture Palette, I wanted to test just how true that actually was. Not that I think I was massive off but now I can prove my words even more. Not just based off the looks of the shades in the palettes.…

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation Review | Is it a Dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Foundation?

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation Review | Is it a Dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Foundation?

Makeup Revolution (a company well known for creating dupe products of higher end brands) came out with a foundation called the Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation. And instantly I thought of the Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation. Mainly due to the fact that the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Contour is a dupe of the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. When this launched, I saw a lot of YouTubers try it out but no one was comparing it to the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation. And now I know a lot of people won't talk about that foundation anymore due to that shade range. So if the Makeup Revolution foundation is a dupe I wanted to know. And since I have the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation (but don't mention it on the blog or social media due to that shade range), I wanted to put them as a test against each other.…

Dupe for ABH Subculture: Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Eyeshadow Palette

Dupe for ABH Subculture: Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Eyeshadow Palette

When the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette was announced, I wanted that palette in the worst way. The shades looked incredible and unique, truly something I did not have anywhere in my makeup collection. Then the palette dropped and everyone rushed to review it leaving the palette as the most hated palette on the internet. They did announce they were going to re-release the palette with a different pressing technique so there wouldn't be as bad of full out. But the reviews of it's performance just didn't leave me with the confidence of wanting to try it. Still I longed for the colors. Then the other day while exploring Ulta, I came across the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Eyeshadow Palette which looked like a dupe for the ABH Subculture and I knew I had to try it!…

Dupe of ABH Modern Renaissance: Wet n Wild Rose in the Air Shadow Palette

Dupe of ABH Modern Renaissance: Wet n Wild Rose in the Air Shadow Palette

The Wet n Wild Rose in the Air palette contains ten pans each with 0.35 oz of product. These palettes cost $4.99 and the Rose in the Air one in particular is an almost exact dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hill (ABH) Modern Renaissance palette. Each with a mix of warm-toned neutrals with a mix of mauve and berry. So if you can't afford the ABH palette, the Wet n Wild palette is a great alternative.…

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour Review

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour Review

Even though I'm on a very restricted budget, I am still giving myself forty dollars for anything extra that my come up that I need. Like makeup remover or concealer if I run out. And that's exactly what happened. My Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer and one of my Tarte Shape Tapes has no product remaining. And my other concealers are starting to run low as well since I use that on a daily basis, whereas foundation I do not. But getting one shape tape would mean I'm almost out of my budget on just one item, and sure I could get another Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer as I did enjoy that but they don't have a shade that light enough for my under eye area to brighten it up. So I went digging through the cruelty free brands at Ulta that I would classify as drugstore, and came across the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour. Which has a name very similar to Tape Shape's full name and has a similar applicator from the looks of it online. Makeup Revolution is known to make a lot of dupe or copied products, and I figured why not give it a try.…
