The follow up game to Subnautica takes place after the events of the first game. It’s currently in early access and the game/story is still a work in progress. So there are quite a few bugs, issues, and missing features. But you can still get a good feel for the game and I’ve played through what is considered stable by the developers. So I thought I would just share a brief overview of the game as well as my first impressions on it.
The Sims 4 just released a new game pack, which is more of a mini-story mode that takes place solely in StrangerVille. This is a desert town that holds a dark secret where it’s citizens are acting bizarre. Especially in regards to a secret lab located in a crater. Similar to Strange Town of The Sims 2. To help you along with the story they have an aspiration that walks you through each of the steps you need to do so you can solve the story. I used to love The Sims 3: World Adventures and trying to figure out the mysteries of the temples.
Next up in this dream palette series, I’m making a palette inspired by Alice: Madness Returns. This game is a darker version of Alice in Wonderland. In which Alice has gone mad following her family’s death in a fire which she initially believes she was responsive for. Alice is 19 and living at an orphanage in Victorian London under the care of Dr. Bumby. Who uses hypnosis to help his child patients forget their memories. Alice refuses to give up on what happened to her family and begins to hallucinate of Wonderland. Which has become corrupted by an outside force with the use of an Infernal Train.
Next up in this dream palette series, I’m making a palette inspired by Legend of Zelda. I’ve been binge watching Game Grumps playing the games and enjoying some Breath of the Wild when I have spare time. Each game focuses on Link in his attempt to rescue Princess Zelda to save the kingone of Hyrule from Ganon. And each one involves the relic known as the Triforce representing the virtues of Courage, Wisdom, and Power. If you want to know more about the lore of the games and how they are all connected, I wrote about them earlier.
Next up in this dream palette series, I’m making a palette inspired by a game that I have been really enjoying over the course of the last year. That being Subnautica, which also just released in early access a follow up or standalone expansion to the first game called Subnautica: Below Zero. In Subnautica, you play as the lone survivor of the Aurora on an unknown alien plant called 4546B. You have to survive in the underwater open-world and attempt to escape the planet. In order to do so you need to cure yourself and the planet from a disease known as Kharaa. I won’t give too many spoilers as I seriously enjoy the game and think it’s something that should be experienced through exploration.
Still on my Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild kick since I’ve been playing it quite a bit. Haven’t gone to the other two divine beasts, so I ended up doing the Hylian Homeowner sidequest. Which gives Link a home to keep his prized possessions, a set place to cook and sleep.
