Wizarding World Brought to Life (aka My Review of Hogwarts Legacy)

Wizarding World Brought to Life (aka My Review of Hogwarts Legacy)

I'm not going to be going into the author of this universe, nor is this review in any way based on their views regarding transgender individuals. I got and played this game because Harry Potter was my childhood. It was a massive part of growing up, and while I didn't read the books until the end of high school that does not change the impact this world had on my childhood. I loved the movies and one of the few PC games that my sister and I had that weren't educational was the original Harry Potter game on the PC, where we had to collect jelly beans. I remember getting so frustrated at points during that game. And I always wanted to see Hogwarts brought to life in a way where I could be the main character. That I was in my house, and I got to do the exploring. Which is exactly what we get in Hogwarts Legacy.…

Popular Books that Started out as FanFiction

Popular Books that Started out as FanFiction

FanFiction is a popular hobby among many people who have devoted fan bases. If you've been living under a rock or are unaware of what this is, fanfictions are works of literature written by someone other than the original author. It could simply feature similar characters with different twists, universes, relationship pairings, and other elements. Some of those authors' works have even been turned into published books. That's what I'm focusing on today: books that began as FanFiction and grew into something massive.…

New v. Old Book Covers: Which do I Prefer?

New v. Old Book Covers: Which do I Prefer?

Publishers often change up book covers either to bring in a new audience or encourage individuals to buy additional editions of their favorite series. Sometimes, I liked the new design over the old one. But usually, it's the other way around. So, I thought I would compare some of my favorite series where the covers were drastically changed over the years.…

Hogwarts Mystery: Where to Find Energy Around the Castle

Hogwarts Mystery: Where to Find Energy Around the Castle

One of my favorite mobile games that has come out is Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery, but like most mobile games you are limited to what you can do by time and energy. It's my least favorite part of any mobile game but Hogwarts Mystery has selected areas around the castle where you can regain some energy to keep going. These spawn or refill every six hours. So you can't go to them all of the time to regain energy, but it's at least there every six hours to gain you some more energy. …

Hogwarts Mystery: Year 6 Overview

Hogwarts Mystery: Year 6 Overview

Another year has concluded in Hogwarts Mystery meaning there is only one left. They slowly released this chapter as they started to do in year 4, so it takes longer to complete. Since friends often end up asking you about previous years or you need to recall things that happened in the past I wanted to create this little overview of what happened during the sixth year in Hogwarts Mystery as I have done with every year in the past.…

Magical Readathon 2020: O.W.L.s Wrap Up

Magical Readathon 2020: O.W.L.s Wrap Up

It's been a month since I posted my Magical Readathon 2020: O.W.L.s. TBR. And during that time period, I did manage to complete it! However, some of of my selections changed. Unfortunately, as I didn't learn about this readathon until it was done, so I could not submit my reading for the official house competition. However, I did still enjoy this readathon, and it sparked my desire to read again. As I was in a bit of a reading slump before that. …

The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character Book Tag

The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Character Book Tag

I'll be honest I have never read this book series as I somehow missed it in middle school/high school, but it's on my TBR list. And with the TV Show adaptation coming to Disney + I'm really need to get to these books. I have seen the two movie adaptations, which I didn't think were the worst (can't compare it to the books to know if it was actually bad) but they also weren't the best. I was tagged by Sarah to do this tagged created by May from Forever and Everly. …
