20 Cures for a Bad Day

20 Cures for a Bad Day

Some days despite all our attempts to be happy and positive, we just have a day that seems to drag us through the mud. It's just part of life... or for me, dealing with bipolar disorder. Some days it just really wants to test you. Lately I've been dealing with another depressive episode that has been one of the worst I've had in many years. And after many years of trying to figure out how to cope and manage these episodes, I've came up with a few things that I can do that will help put myself into a better mood and have a more positive note in my day.…

Removing Negativity From Your Life

Removing Negativity From Your Life

Negativity seems to be everywhere these days... especially on social media. And it's not a new thing. It's always been there, but it seems to be way more common or louder than it was before. It may be because some people just want to cause drama by dragging people through the mud for no reason at all. We are all imperfect and have handled what life sent us differently, so why spread hate when spending your energy and time doing something positive is so much better.…

What to Do When Anxiety/Depression Makes You Paranoid

What to Do When Anxiety/Depression Makes You Paranoid

Over the many years of dealing with anxiety and depression, I've had a far amount of paranoia that's been driven by these mental disorders. And it took a long time to realize those two concepts were connected. As these aren't just psychological disorders but biological as well since it effects your brain chemistry. From neurotransmitters for mood and control emotions to misfire, and affect the way you think. And it take make you convinced that everyone is against you or talking behind your back much like paranoia. So what do you do when this happens? How do you handle those situations?…

Ways to Relax When You Only Have an Hour to Yourself

Ways to Relax When You Only Have an Hour to Yourself

Some days you only have a few minutes where you can afford to relax or have a minute to yourself amongst your busy schedule. From being completely tried up with work to house chores to family life, sometimes you don't have any time where you can be by yourself. So what can you do when you don't have any time to spare? I've been finding myself in this position for the last few weeks with huge work projects and trying to fit in the few house chores I can manage to get to in the reminder time frame. And I thought it would be a good idea to spare just a few ideas or ways to relax when you only have an hour to yourself.…

Managing Anxiety With a few Simple Skills

Managing Anxiety With a few Simple Skills

Now this post isn't to say that these skills will cure your anxiety, but they can help you get through it a little bit easier. These are the things that I do when I have a lot of anxiety and stress. Which I have been having a lot of recently, due to both work and the fact that my family has been staying at my place for the last week. So I haven't really gotten the chance to play video games or film videos, since I just feel the need to entertain them versus doing my usual things to settle myself down. But there are a few things that I'm still doing that are helping me out with managing my anxiety.…

Getting Things Done When Your Mind Won’t Shut Up

Getting Things Done When Your Mind Won’t Shut Up

When people say their mind won't shut up or is always thinking of things, the first thing most assume is that those people get things done. Or are always going in the direction towards their goals and would be very successful. As someone who deals with anxiety and bipolar disorder, my mind is always running on all four cylinders to the point where getting work done seems almost impossible. Sometimes it's so bad, even just remembering what someone asked me to do unless it's written down I completely forget about as it gets lost in the mind void of a million thoughts.…

Habits For A Happier Mindset

Habits For A Happier Mindset

One thing I recently have been inspired to do is write more health & wellness posts. These are some of my favorite posts to read about and help me a lot when I write about this topic. As if you've read any personal update before of mine or follow my social media accounts, you'll know I've been dealing with my bipolar disorder reappearing it's ugly head. And no... I haven't gone in yet. I can't really afford the co-pay at the moment, so these are things I've been doing that have been actually helping me a lot get through the cycles. Especially the depression phases, so I hope that they might help someone else as well.…

Things That Have Helped My Mental Health Lately

Things That Have Helped My Mental Health Lately

If you have been following me on social media, and happened to see any of my posts pop of in your feed (as I know several platforms mess that up) you will know I've been dealing with a depressive phase in my bipolar cycle. And it was a rather moderate-severe one, which is something I haven't had in a while since switching off of medication almost four years ago. With this I honestly thought I was going to completely fall off the wagon and resume some of my old addictions. But I didn't because of these items, and they have helped me return to a more stable ground though I know it's only temporary and I need to go in to get medication again for my Bipolar Disorder. …
