Finally Got Myself New Furniture

Now before I begin this post, I want to state, I have not received any of these items in person yet. Some of them are not coming until the beginning to mid-August. So, the pictures are from Amazon and HOM Furniture where I got the pieces. But I'm really excited about this fact and since I'm blogging every day this month, I thought this was a great time to talk about it. Especially since this week's theme seems to be "exploring new things." And purchasing my own furniture would count as that. I don't know if this theme will continue for the rest of the week, but might as well continue with it.…
View PostThe Apartment Diaries: Clueless in the Common Area

There are some areas that I have no problems making it look put together and how I want it. And then there's my common area (dining room, study, and living room) that I just am currently at a loss for how to finish the space. And mainly it's just I feel like it's really empty, which I know is not a problem it's not something I'm not used to. I had maybe a foot of walking room before, so suddenly having space just feels off. …
View PostThe Apartment Diaries: Start of my Sanctuary (AKA the Bedroom)

My bedroom is one space that I wanted to be a mixture of relaxing and have tons of my personality everywhere from the artwork to little pop culture references. Excuse the not made bed, Pixie likes to unmake it. And I'm not embarrassed that my room isn't perfect. I really like how it looks so far. I still have some stuff in here to unpack or get rid of but I thought I would show the start of turning my room into a sanctuary.…
View PostThe Apartment Diaries: Making Progress on my Kitchen

It's been about two weeks since I moved into my apartment, and I've been working on putting everything together since I haven't had internet. One of the areas that I have more or less completely put together is my kitchen. Which I haven't used a lot at this time, but I'm working on breaking my habit of eating out to actually make my own food. So I thought today since my internet is finally set up I would share a few progress photos of putting together the area.…
View Post6 Easy Ways to Style a Coffee Table

One thing I've love to decorate in the living rooms are coffee tables. Growing up my parents never decorated our coffee table, and it's always something I enjoy when watching HGTV or scrolling through the home design tag on Pinterest. So I thought I would explore this topic how how to style your coffee table.…
View PostInspiring Window Bay Seating Areas

I love going on Pinterest and looking at random home design elements to dream about one day having a place of my own. And one thing I have always loved are window bay seating areas. They are just a cozy spot to cuddle with your little animal, a blanket, and a book. I especially love them during a rain storm as you can watch the weather without being in it... not that my dog Pixie would agree with me on that. But on a nice sunny day, I could totally see her up on the bay seat bathing in the warmth.…
View PostTurn Your Bathroom Into Your Own Personal Spa or Retreat

After a really stressful day or week, I love to kick back and relax. One of my favorite things to do is take a bath with soaks and bubbles. And what's more relaxing then a bath but one that looks like it's in a spa. So how can you make your bathroom especially one that you rent into your own personal spa or retreat? …
View PostStudio Apartment Designs That Can Maximize Your Use Of A Small Space

In a few months, I'm going to be moving into an apartment of my own and the more I've been debating on it the move I've come to the conclusion to move into downtown Minneapolis. Or somewhere extremely nearby there so my commute to and from work is shorter. Due to this the price of apartments goes up like crazy meaning I'm switching my mindset from a one bedroom apartment to a studio apartment. Though I might get lucky and find a one bedroom apartment that fits into my budget.…
