This month I’m not really streaming as work is kind of hectic, but my goal is even if I don’t stream I’m still going to do the weekly theme. This week’s was Steampunk (which I picked) and I LOVE how this came out. I was going to have a corset that matched for a full body look… but I got the wrong size. So instead, I still have the shoulder piece on but made the leather collar out of body paint to go with the makeup look of cogs, gears, and clock pieces.
I was in the mood to be creative and I came across a look by Charlotte Roberts that was this watercolor inspired look. So I had to do my own take on it, I know she was inspired by another artist however I was unable to find the original painting as it appears their account was deleted otherwise I would totally link you to that painting as well.v
Pantone has announced the Color of the Year 2020, it’s Classic Blue (19-4052) and I thought it would be fun to do this again. Last year, I did it when the Color of the Year (2019) was Living Coral. So I thought I would do something similar again, though this time instead of a creative makeup look based off the color, I’m just going to use it as the base for my regular eyeshadow look.
An extremely talented makeup artist on Instagram named Drew (user handle of McDrew) turned herself into a Christmas tree for the holidays and I was totally inspired by her look and wanted to attempt recreating it myself. Totally go check out her original look as it’s incredible. She does a lot of these looks where products appear to go through her skin along with other incredible pieces.
An iconic item that appears in horror movies is a Ouija Board, and since I’ve been doing classical horror movies this year I thought I would do my own version of this. If you don’t know what an Ouija board is, it’s a way of communicating with spirits. Though I would not suggest doing this as you never know what you are inviting into your home or where you’re at.
I thought I would try something new. I’ve been wearing almost solely Azeredo Cosmetics lashes for the last six or seven months straight, and don’t get me wrong I love them. I have all of their styles and got a discount code with them (MAE10 for 10% off), but mine are getting extremely worn and I want some variety in my life so I thought I would try out some from House of Lashes. I ended up getting six pairs using their custom 3 packs for $36. Some of those sets are less but I went with the luxe and premium ones.
