Morbid yet Adorable: Cult of the Lamb Review

Morbid yet Adorable: Cult of the Lamb Review

When I first learned of this game (Cult of the Lamb) from TikTok, I knew this game was going to be perfect for me. It's slightly morbid/dark yet incredibly adorable. You play as a lamb that has been saved by a god, but in exchange, you must build a cult and defeat several Bishops who originally tried to kill you. In order to defeat these Bishops, you have to level up your cult by maintaining their faith, hunger, and health in order to gain their devotion that can be used to purchase stronger weapons and spells.…

The Cutest Cat Game: Stray

The Cutest Cat Game: Stray

I had so much fun playing Stray from BlueTwelve Studio. So, I thought I would share a few thoughts I had in regards to this latest Indie video game published by Annapuma Interactive. Stray is an adventure, platform, and puzzle game where you play as an adorable little cat. The cat originally was on the surface with his friends but fell underground into a sealed city where the former residents (humans) have died and been replaced by robots that are being killed by a parasite creature called the Zurk. You team up with a drone named B-12 to find a way back to the surface.…

Doki Doki Literature Club: Easter Eggs Hinting at Another Game

Doki Doki Literature Club: Easter Eggs Hinting at Another Game

When I initially first played Doki Doki Literature Club, I ignored opening up the .chr files which is not a real file format or looking into the messed up poems. By messed up, I mean the ones that were in English or seemingly any language other than just someone slamming their hands on the keyboard. But if you look deeper into these files and poems, you get a whole different picture. One that hints towards another game that the developers are most likely working on. One who's plot is already exposed more or less through Doki Doki Literature Club based on the novel Yuri gives the protagnoist when they join the literature club: Portrait of Markov. This is further supported through Easter Eggs shattered in the game as well as in the game files. So what are these Easter Eggs.…

Undertale: Secrets You May Have Missed

Undertale: Secrets You May Have Missed

Undertale has to be one of my favorite games from the last year. The lore of the game is so interesting, the music is incredible and I listen to the soundtrack when I'm at work, and Toby Fox thought of literally every playing style and adjusted the game for that. When you first play the game there's a bunch that you may miss, these are just the things that I missed the first few times I played the game and that I see others often missing when they play.…

Bendy and the Ink Machine: Flashback to 1920s-30s Animations

Bendy and the Ink Machine: Flashback to 1920s-30s Animations

I recently discovered a new Indie game called Bendy and the Ink Machine, and got instance flashbacks to the early years of animations (1920s to 1930s). At first I thought it was a callback to the Walt Disney animations, but after seeing more chapters being released and a beauty transformation video of Betty Boop it actually plays way more to the styles of Max Fleischer who also created Popeye, Bimbo from Talkartoons, and The Inkwell Studios. Who unlike Disney had more surrealism designs, dark humor, sexuality, and adult psychological elements to their animations. Which were a reflection on the Great Depression; whereas, Disney was more family focused and an escape from the cruel reality of the time period.…
