There are a lot of different romance tropes, and not all of them vibe with me. While the post on my favorite tropes was more focused on the book overall, this one is going to have some more specifics. As these things are the quickest way to turn me off from a book or make me want to DNF it.
It's been an entire year. I hope everyone had a good year. I thought I would wrap up the year by looking back at every single book I read in 2021. Honestly, I'm surprised by how many books I read. Not only that but I started reading new genres during the course of this year, though it still is related to fantasy/sci-fi (for the most part). We'll see if 2022 is similar in terms of how many books I read. I have a lot on my reading list still.
I figured as we're halfway through the year, I would do a wrap-up of the things that I read. Especially as there were a lot of books that I managed to get through already. I don't know if I'll have quite the same amount read in the second half of the year, but you never know. When I get into a good book, I have a hard time putting it down.
Another month already?! The year is almost halfway over, and things are starting to open back up. I'm fully vaccinated so yay! This month is going to be crazy to begin with then hopefully things returning to normal around the mid-point of the month. Hopefully, that doesn't change. I really want things to settle down, so I can get back into a routine and have a sense of time again. Granted, towards the end of the month I'm going to start packing to move in July. But that shouldn't disrupt too much.
In a recent post, I mentioned how I did a massive book haul. That's a bit of an understatement. So, I decided to pull every book off my shelf that I want to read. And honestly, I have no idea where I even want to start with tackling this pile. Granted, I already started it last month and have posted reviews on every book that I read. This is not even everything if I'm being 100% honest. There are some books I got last year that should be in here as well, but considering how many books this already is I didn't go back to grab those. Maybe I'll end up reading those before some of these, but I thought this would be a fun post to do while I debate on what to read next. Hell, you guys might help me pick which one to start with.
