Makeup Products I’m Saying Goodbye To, Products I’m Not Going to Repurchase

Makeup Products I’m Saying Goodbye To, Products I’m Not Going to Repurchase

It's been over a month since I moved into my new apartment, and during that time I've gone through my makeup collection, and there are just some product I've come to realize even though I do enjoy them they are basically always just collecting dust. Or I have held onto them, but don't actually enjoy the products. A lot of these are ColourPop products, but it's not so much limited to those products but that style of product.…

Ranking and Comparing my Foundations

Ranking and Comparing my Foundations

I like to try out different foundations then get into moods where I wear one for several weeks before switching to another one. So it takes me quite a while to get through a single bottle of foundation. To a point where I start to forget how they stack up next to each other, so I thought I would do a massive comparison of all the ones that I keep in my collection. I'm going to do a similar ranking as I did in my Juvia's Place palette comparisons where I'm going use a few different categories to determine which foundation is truly the best. The categories will be the following: wear time, finish, price, shade range, coverage, amount and applicator.…

Current Work Makeup Routine | Spring 2019

Current Work Makeup Routine | Spring 2019

When I'm getting ready for work in the morning I leave barely enough time for myself, as I am not a morning person so elaborate makeup is not something I go for like I do on weekends. Typically this means only two or three eyeshadows, mascara, brows, and concealer. If I'm awake enough and have an additional minute I'll add in liner, foundation, and lip balm. Typically rushing to do these as Pixie is outside going to the bathroom or taking ages to eat her breakfast. And I haven't done one of these posts in ages, so I thought I might as well do an update on what my minimalist makeup routine is.…

Makeup Battle: Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden vs Makeup Revolution Cut Crease Canvas Eyeshadow Base in Illustrate

Makeup Battle: Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden vs Makeup Revolution Cut Crease Canvas Eyeshadow Base in Illustrate

I have been using Urban Decay Primer Potion for AGES as a base for my eyeshadow, which makes my eyeshadow last all day long without any noticeable wear or weird creasing. Recently Makeup Revolution has been killing it with launches to the point where they don't really seem like dupes anymore. I mean there are still a good amount of products that are recreations but I don't know what their cut crease eyeshadow base is supposed to be the dupe of. So I thought I would battle out the products to see which one is better or more worth it. As much as I love the primer potion, I'm not made of money so if I can save a buck and get the same result sometimes I will go for it.…

Comparing Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette with Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Palette

Comparing Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette with Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Palette

In the past I called the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Palette a dupe to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette before I even had that palette. Now that I have the Subculture Palette, I wanted to test just how true that actually was. Not that I think I was massive off but now I can prove my words even more. Not just based off the looks of the shades in the palettes.…

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation Review | Is it a Dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Foundation?

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation Review | Is it a Dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Foundation?

Makeup Revolution (a company well known for creating dupe products of higher end brands) came out with a foundation called the Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation. And instantly I thought of the Tarte Shape Tape Matte Foundation. Mainly due to the fact that the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Contour is a dupe of the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. When this launched, I saw a lot of YouTubers try it out but no one was comparing it to the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation. And now I know a lot of people won't talk about that foundation anymore due to that shade range. So if the Makeup Revolution foundation is a dupe I wanted to know. And since I have the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation (but don't mention it on the blog or social media due to that shade range), I wanted to put them as a test against each other.…

Makeup Revolution Strobe Lighting Palette Review

Makeup Revolution Strobe Lighting Palette Review

About a few weeks ago, I went to Ulta and purchased several things for Makeup Revolution including concealer and an eyeshadow palette so apparently I had qualified for their Strobe Lighting Highlighter Palette. Now I don't know which shades specifically are in this palette nor the amount for it as I couldn't find it anywhere online the information about this palette. But I wanted to share my thoughts on the formula as the Strobe Lighting Highlighters are sold separately for $6.00.…

Dupe for ABH Subculture: Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Eyeshadow Palette

Dupe for ABH Subculture: Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Eyeshadow Palette

When the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette was announced, I wanted that palette in the worst way. The shades looked incredible and unique, truly something I did not have anywhere in my makeup collection. Then the palette dropped and everyone rushed to review it leaving the palette as the most hated palette on the internet. They did announce they were going to re-release the palette with a different pressing technique so there wouldn't be as bad of full out. But the reviews of it's performance just didn't leave me with the confidence of wanting to try it. Still I longed for the colors. Then the other day while exploring Ulta, I came across the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Division Eyeshadow Palette which looked like a dupe for the ABH Subculture and I knew I had to try it!…
