Makeup Revolution Ghost Baking Powder Review

Makeup Revolution Ghost Baking Powder Review

One thing that I don't always use when I do my makeup is use a setting or baking powder, but it was something I wanted to start trying. But I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an expensive baking powder and the only one anyone mentions that's drugstore is Coty Airspun... but they aren't cruelty free. So I decided to give Makeup Revolution Ghost Baking Powder a chance. And the main reason was this was supposed to mattify and set your foundation, two things I wanted.…

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour Review

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour Review

Even though I'm on a very restricted budget, I am still giving myself forty dollars for anything extra that my come up that I need. Like makeup remover or concealer if I run out. And that's exactly what happened. My Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer and one of my Tarte Shape Tapes has no product remaining. And my other concealers are starting to run low as well since I use that on a daily basis, whereas foundation I do not. But getting one shape tape would mean I'm almost out of my budget on just one item, and sure I could get another Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer as I did enjoy that but they don't have a shade that light enough for my under eye area to brighten it up. So I went digging through the cruelty free brands at Ulta that I would classify as drugstore, and came across the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Design Full Coverage Conceal & Contour. Which has a name very similar to Tape Shape's full name and has a similar applicator from the looks of it online. Makeup Revolution is known to make a lot of dupe or copied products, and I figured why not give it a try.…

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighters | Dupe for Cover FX Custom Enhancement Drops

One of the products that has long time been on my wishlist is Cover FX Custom Enhancement Drops but never entered my collection as it always felt out of my reach. Recently I saw on Ulta that Makeup Revolution (a cruelty free brand well known for creating dupe products of high end brands for less) came out with liquid highlighters that look insanely similar to the Cover FX Custom Enhancement Drops. Each liquid highlighter from Makeup Revolution is $9, which seems so much more in my budget and to treat myself for getting a promotion at work I got them!…

Picking Random Makeup Colors AND Making Them Work Challenge #4

Picking Random Makeup Colors AND Making Them Work Challenge #4

This has to be one of my favorite challenges... considering I've done it three times before already. It's just so simple and forces you outside of your makeup comfort zone. I generally wear the same makeup every day with a few slight variations. So this challenge really makes me experiment. I chose five eyeshadows at random then added one more for a transition, and chose a random liquid lipstick from my collection. The color combination that I got really had me stumped on what to even create. And as I created the look I was very unsure of it until I reached the end, then somehow it just seemed interesting in a way I was expecting that made me like it. Now would I wear this as an everyday look? No. But maybe if I was going out I would attempt to recreate this or something similar.…

Steampunk Makeup Inspired by Glam & Gore

Steampunk Makeup Inspired by Glam & Gore

Last night it was actually storming in Minnesota and my hair/lips were giving me serious steampunk vibes. And not just steampunk in general, but an industrial steampunk FX look I saw Mykie from Glam & Gore do last month. Now I didn't really have the materials or time to do the full FX look but I did have enough materials and time to do the glam version of the look using a pair of Psychonauts Goggles that I got in February's Loot Gaming box.…
