I love a good sunset moment on the eyes or red eyeshadow. It reminds me of my favorite color plus the deeper shades just call to me. I miss my Merlot hair on a frequent basis (remind me not to start that up again, I’m extremely tempted at the moment) and this palette has shades that remind me so much of this. Specifically the shades Bahamas and Sangria, especially Sangria. Anyways, I’ve been using this palette for the better part of the last week since reds are more “work-appropriate” than blue and green, so next up in reviewing of Ace Beaute palettes is Scarlet Dusk.
A lot of these looks are recreations from various artists including: James Charles, Keilidh, Orlayna, Sn0ok, Yana, Lilliam Baez, Peachcait, Vanessa Davis, Sandra, Abbey Strohmeyer, and Charlotte Roberts. I’m pretty sure that’s everyone who inspired the looks I’m showing below, if I missed anyone I’ll make sure to go back in and add them. But I think I got everyone, thankfully Instagram exists and I had posted these there at one point in the last year for me to go back and reference. I had a lot of fun creating looks last year and pushing myself to try new techniques. I can’t wait to see where 2020 brings us as I have plans to do more looks.
A brand I’ve been following on Instagram for a while, and really wanted to try out was Ace Beaute. And when I recently got promoted at work, I decided to treat myself by getting a few of their palettes one of which was the Oceanic Palette. Which is filled with blue and green shadows, if you look at my Instagram you would know when I’m not doing creative looks I have one something in this color family. Not always but a good majority of the time on the weekends. So, I had to start off my adventure with this palette in particular.
I was recently going through my makeup collection and decluttering a bunch of products that I didn’t end up using. During this process I found a bunch of empty products that I held onto so I wouldn’t forget how much I loved them to repurchase in the future. Then I went on a no buy, and never ended up purchasing new ones instead moved onto a ‘Project Pan’ style method with the rest of my collection. However, it gave me the idea to go over the products that I loved and used up in 2019 as there were quite a few standouts in my opinion looking back over the last year.
I was in the mood to be creative and I came across a look by Charlotte Roberts that was this watercolor inspired look. So I had to do my own take on it, I know she was inspired by another artist however I was unable to find the original painting as it appears their account was deleted otherwise I would totally link you to that painting as well.v
If you want a full review of Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Palette, this is not the place for that. Click the link to see my opinions on the palette. Today I’m just sharing a few looks I’ve created using the palette. I am not including the look I included in the review so if you want a fourth, there’s one in the full review. Now onto the looks!
