I Have No Idea Where to Start My Book TBR

I Have No Idea Where to Start My Book TBR

In a recent post, I mentioned how I did a massive book haul. That's a bit of an understatement. So, I decided to pull every book off my shelf that I want to read. And honestly, I have no idea where I even want to start with tackling this pile. Granted, I already started it last month and have posted reviews on every book that I read. This is not even everything if I'm being 100% honest. There are some books I got last year that should be in here as well, but considering how many books this already is I didn't go back to grab those. Maybe I'll end up reading those before some of these, but I thought this would be a fun post to do while I debate on what to read next. Hell, you guys might help me pick which one to start with.…

Looking Back at What I Read in 2020

Looking Back at What I Read in 2020

2020 was a tough year for a lot of us. I know I already talked a bit about this in my Happy New Year and Goals for January 2021 posts, but I thought I would make a dedicated post for going over the books that I read last year and if any of my thoughts have changed in regards to them. Since this last year really got me back into reading, as before other than Shadowhunters Chronicles which was the majority of my reading in 2019 I pretty much never read. But in 2020, I read at least six to eight books a month. If not, more as I often end up reading several books multiple times or re-reading various chapters repeatedly.…

Goals for January 2021

Goals for January 2021

Considering how 2020 went, I'm not going to make plans for the year. Instead I'm going to take things month by month, and see how it goes. Mostly as I don't know what the world is going to be like, nor my life for that matter. I've been trying my hardest with keeping busy to prevent too much idle time from getting to me, as I cannot handle being idle. Which results in me working full time from home, streaming at least four times a week for three to five hours each time, moderating other people's streams, and running/moderating multiple discords. On top of other hobbies like reading and art... let's just say I'm always doing something. And I don't plan on changing that in 2021. So, I thought I would share some of my goals at least for January.…

WWW Wednesday: November 25, 2020

WWW Wednesday: November 25, 2020

Time for another WWW Wednesday. I didn't do one the previous week as I didn't honestly get around to reading much. I tried getting as much progress as possible done on my book for NaNoWriMo, currently I'm at 28K out of 50K words. But my laptop battery exploded, so I have to put that on hold until my new computer arrives and I get everything transferred over to that. At least it's forcing me to spend that time reading. …

WWW Wednesday: November 11, 2020

I saw this post type first over on Ellie's blog (Read to Ramble) and loved the concept. Since, I often end up re-reading the same books I haven't been super active on here with new posts. I'm also doing a million things behind the scenes and participating in NaNoWriMo (a goal of writing 50K words during the month of November). I don't know if I'm going to do a WWW Wednesday every single week, but I'll try to post them every few at the very least.…

Books I’ve Purchased Recently that I Seriously Need to Read (aka Book Haul)

Books I’ve Purchased Recently that I Seriously Need to Read (aka Book Haul)

So, I got seriously into reading than after binging a lot of good series, I fell not really into a reading slump as I haven't stopped reading but I haven't really touched new books. I've just been re-reading all of my favorite series. And have way, way, way too many that I purchased but haven't read. Nor can get myself to read as I'm too nervous to reach for them for fear they won't live up to expectations. As a lot of these I learned through BookTok (TikTok) as being great books.…

My Experience Reading of Crier’s War by Nina Varela

My Experience Reading of Crier’s War by Nina Varela

Crier's War by Nina Varela is the first novel in this authors debut series. Only one book has been published thus far with the second set to release September 8th, 2020. This book's tagline was "One mortal, one made - one loved, one betrayed" so going into it I knew it was a romance of two women that were on opposite sides. With one side being Automae (automatons that are human in design with the capability to bleed that survive off some type of stone) and humans (who are currently lower class to their creations). A little Detroit: Become Human in that sense if the androids in that game decided to take over the government rather than just get their freedom/rights.…

Books I Got For My Birthday that I’m Excited to Read

Books I Got For My Birthday that I’m Excited to Read

My 27th birthday was back on the 15th of May, and with the Stay-At-Home Order presents I got for myself, and ones that my friends in other states sent me were a bit delayed. So, I waited until they all arrived before making this post. Normally I don't share this type of thing on my blog but I'm sort of at a point in my life where I'm not in the mood to review makeup anyone on a regular basis just if it's something that it completely brand new (still love makeup, and will continue to post on my Instagram looks I've done), and I have basically only been playing Animal Crossing. So, I don't really have anything to share from that... that I haven't already shared on the blog. So, instead I'm focusing on books as I love reading. Have since I was fourteen or fifteen years old.…
