Looking Back at the Books I Read in January 2023

Looking Back at the Books I Read in January 2023

I decided that in 2023, I'm going to do things a little differently here on my blog. Instead of doing a massive summary of everything that happened during the last month, I'm going to break it out into parts if there are multiple things to discuss. So, this one is going to be purely focused on everything that I read during January 2023. These are all the new books I read, not any that I decided to re-read along the way. If I did a review, I'll share the link to those. Otherwise, I will do a quick review of the book or series (with the series getting the mini-review at the end of all the books in the list). So, if you go straight into this trilogy without reading Caraval there is missing context for events as it's not elaborated.…

New Books in My Collection That I Need to Read

It's been a while since I did a book haul. While I had added books to my collection, I've been mindful of making sure I've read those new books. However, there are quite a few from previous hauls that I still need to get to, which I'm kind of waiting for the mood to hit. I sometimes love and hate being a mood reader. I might think a book will be good and purchase it, but unless that mood hits it ends up sitting on my shelf. But we're not talking about those books. Today, I'm sharing my most recent haul as I ended up getting quite a few (probably was in a semi-hypomanic state at the time but we're not talking about that).…
