Fun Facts About Pixie and Winnie
I love dogs, I have always loved dogs. In fact "dog" was my very first word and it was what I wished for every year at Christmas until my parents finally caved when I was in Kindergarten and got my first dog named Sadie who was a German Shepherds mix. Probably one of the reasons I love German Shepherds and would love to get another some day. But right now I'm in small townhouse and soon an apartment, so a big German Shepherd isn't in the cards at the moment. Anyways, I want to share more about the dogs in my life on my blog. Over the weekend the expansion pack for The Sims 4 called Cats & Dogs launched. And you cannot imagine how excited I was for this to launch. Especially when the trailers showed that there was a new profession (vet) and there was a paint wheel. Wish this was available for sims for their hairs. But I can get why they didn't do this as they would have to undo and recreate literally everything in the Sims. So I can be happy with it only being available for the pets. View PostDressing Up the Dogs in Star Wars Costumes
So my roommate, Harley, and I are massive nerds and when we saw at PetSmart that there were Star Wars costumes, we couldn't help ourselves and got six of them for our two dogs: Kiki and Pixie. Now Kiki is totally used to wearing outfits while Pixie will occasionally wear them depending on how they are cut and fitted. As some are tighter in some spots than others. Her favorite thing to wear are bandanas, but even then some days she does not want to wear anything but her collar. What I'm trying to say in a very roundabout way, I wouldn't do anything to my dog that she isn't comfortable with. She makes the best facial expressions and I know how to read them all, including her sassy "I am not doing that" face. And luckily on the day we put these all on for the photoshoot, Pixie was totally fine with us putting them on. Though a few she did not like after a few minutes as they were just too much and they were promptly removed.…

My little baby is growing up, today is her three year old puppy that I've had since she was twelve weeks old. Pixie Bug Jackie Young is her official full name or PBJ for short. Her mother was a rescue in Tennessee that was abandoned in a railroad car where she was found to be pregnant by a rescue group. Now no one believes this, but her mother was a fawn colored Welsh Corgi. We believe her father was a Jack Russel Terrier or a Rat Terrier, hence the nickname Jackie, and her very terrier like appearance. She had six brothers and sisters that were all adopted through the same foster home where they were born. We originally were going to adopt her sister Romana, but after meeting half of her siblings ended up driving home with Susie as she was called at the time.…
