Looking Back at October 2022

Looking Back at October 2022

This last month has been a rollercoaster. It started off with me not being in the mood to read anything new, and that kind of continued all month. Don't get me wrong, I did read some things as you'll see but mostly I just read segments of previously read books. And I didn't play any video games as I focused the month on Twitch with body painting. Well, I did play Dreamlight Valley but it was still less gaming than I normally do overall.…

My Thoughts on The Bonds that Tie Series by J Bree

My Thoughts on The Bonds that Tie Series by J Bree

While I could post a review about every book in The Bonds that Tie series by J Bree, I didn't want to put them down or pause reading to do so. I enjoyed the series that much (spoiler alert). So, I'm just going to combine them all together as I have done with other series that captivated my attention to this extent. I originally discovered this series through TikTok, but only ever heard that they were fantastic without any real details around the plot which I appreciate so I could go into the series without there being spoilers. I love discussing the details of a book as much as the next person especially when it's a good book, but I don't like knowing those details until I've gotten a chance to experience it for myself. Case and point Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard, I still haven't finished that series due to the fact I know everything that's going to happen and it makes me not want to pick up the next book. So, with that being said, I'm not going to be going into heavy details about the books, so there will be no spoilers here while I share my thoughts on this series. …

Taylor Swift Midnights Book Tag

Taylor Swift Midnights Book Tag

It's been a hot minute since I did a book tag, and considering Taylor Swift just released a new album called Midnights, I knew several people were probably going to end up making book tags related to it. I really like this one from Star Is All Booked Up, so check out their blog to see the original. But these are the ones I came up with for each of the prompts based on the song titles.…

Disney’s Answer to Nintendo Animal Crossing: Dreamlight Valley

Disney’s Answer to Nintendo Animal Crossing: Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley was launched, or rather opened in Early Access, in August 2022. This game is still being developed, and it will eventually be free to play. It's a life simulation and adventure game that's very similar to Nintendo's Animal Crossing. So, I thought I'd look at the differences and similarities between the two games.…

Looking Back at September 2022

Looking Back at September 2022

How is the month over already? I swear this year is flying by... and dragging at the same time. It was a combination of training, customer support, twitch streaming, reading an armful of books, and bodypainting. So, you know, the usual.…

Morbid yet Adorable: Cult of the Lamb Review

Morbid yet Adorable: Cult of the Lamb Review

When I first learned of this game (Cult of the Lamb) from TikTok, I knew this game was going to be perfect for me. It's slightly morbid/dark yet incredibly adorable. You play as a lamb that has been saved by a god, but in exchange, you must build a cult and defeat several Bishops who originally tried to kill you. In order to defeat these Bishops, you have to level up your cult by maintaining their faith, hunger, and health in order to gain their devotion that can be used to purchase stronger weapons and spells.…

Looking Back at August 2022

Looking Back at August 2022

This month was a busy one. Things kicked off at work (i.e. finished my main training and started supporting customers), a bunch of family events, a work trip, and more teeth work. I don't think I had a single week where I didn't have something going on. So, this post is probably going to be a bit long as I look back at everything that happened in the last month.…

My Thoughts on A Duel with the Vampire Lord (Married to Magic, Book 3) by Elise Kova

My Thoughts on A Duel with the Vampire Lord (Married to Magic, Book 3) by Elise Kova

Elise Kova always writes good books. I have loved every other book in the Married to Magic series by this author, so when I found out she was releasing another one I was so excited about it. Especially when I heard it was a Beauty and the Beast, and a vampire book in the series. Sign me up! Those are two of my favorite things. Even if it's been done a lot, I always like to see new takes on it.…
