My Thoughts While Reading Ruin and Rising (Shadow and Bone Series #3) by Leigh Bardugo

My Thoughts While Reading Ruin and Rising (Shadow and Bone Series #3) by Leigh Bardugo

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo is the conclusion of Shadow and Bone series. If you haven't seen my posts on Shadow and Bone or Siege and Storm I would recommend checking out those first before reading my thoughts on the final book in the series. As there will be spoilers. If you want spoiler free, go to the OVERALL THOUGHTS section as I'll be wrapping up my thoughts there without any of the plot points.…

My Thoughts While Reading Siege and Storm (Shadow and Bone Series #2) by Leigh Bardugo

Time for the next book in the Shadow and Bone series by Leigh Bardugo, which is Siege and Storm. If you have not read Shadow and Bone first, or my thoughts while reading that book I would recommend it prior to continuing on with this post. As I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on Siege and Storm in this post along with my overall thoughts of the book (spoiler free in that section).…

My Thoughts While Reading Shadow and Bone (Shadow and Bone Series #1) by Leigh Bardugo

My Thoughts While Reading Shadow and Bone (Shadow and Bone Series #1) by Leigh Bardugo

After finishing the Six of Crows duology, I was going to stay in the Grishaverse and head over to the original series Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. But due to the knowledge that I had gleamed from Six of Crows and TikTok, I kept getting anxious when it came to starting this book series. So, I had put it off and returned to other series I had already read. As I felt like I knew too much in a way, or had too high of expectations to enjoy reading the book. But after a month or so, I finally forced myself to get past that and start Shadow and Bone. Once I started, I couldn't put the book down.…

My Thoughts While Reading Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Barshardoust

My Thoughts While Reading Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Barshardoust

Within the last month or so, I've been heavily talking with people over on Discord and joined several different servers. One of which is a writers' Discord by Rebecca Mix called Chaos Sprinters. I love talking with people in there about books and writing. And recently we decided to start a book club on there. The first book we decided to go with is Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Barshardoust. This book has been on my TBR for some time, so I'm glad to finally get around to reading it.…

My Experience Reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

My Experience Reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Alright the time has come to finish the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo. Going into Crooked Kingdom I'm curious where this story will go after reading the first book, and everyone on BookTok says it's heartbreaking or emotional. So, I have a feeling going into the book that a lot of the main characters are going to die. Or Kaz doesn't manage to get his wraith (Inej) back. As I did with the first book, I'm going to be sharing my thoughts as I read the book breaking it up into the sections of the book. …

My Experience Reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

My Experience Reading Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo is book that I have seen mentioned a lot on TikTok. All I know of the book going into it is that Kaz is a morally grey character, and a lot of people like him. Apparently The Grishaverse which is a combination of Six of Crows Duology, The Shadow and Bone Triology (on my TBR/Amazon Wishlist), and The King of Scars Duology (also on my list to read) is coming to Netflix as an original series in the future. So, I plan on getting to all of these books before that happens. Similar to when I read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, I'm going to share my thoughts on Six of Crows as I read the book. So, there will be spoilers.…

My Experience Reading of Crier’s War by Nina Varela

My Experience Reading of Crier’s War by Nina Varela

Crier's War by Nina Varela is the first novel in this authors debut series. Only one book has been published thus far with the second set to release September 8th, 2020. This book's tagline was "One mortal, one made - one loved, one betrayed" so going into it I knew it was a romance of two women that were on opposite sides. With one side being Automae (automatons that are human in design with the capability to bleed that survive off some type of stone) and humans (who are currently lower class to their creations). A little Detroit: Become Human in that sense if the androids in that game decided to take over the government rather than just get their freedom/rights.…

My Experience Reading of A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

Alright I'm moving onto the next book in the series by Sarah J. Maas, which is A Court of Wings and Ruin. Similar to the last book, I'm going to share my thoughts as I read the book. I have it broken down by the chapters on where I left off, so you know roughly where I'm in the book when I'm writing that section. Similar to last times, this will include spoilers as I'm reading the book though I'll try to keep it to a minimum. …
