This last month has been a rollercoaster. It started off with me not being in the mood to read anything new, and that kind of continued all month. While I could post a review about every book in The Bonds that Tie series by J Bree, I didn't want to put them down or pause reading to do so. I enjoyed the series that much (spoiler alert). So, I'm just going to combine them all together as I have done with other series that captivated my attention to this extent. I originally discovered this series through TikTok, but only ever heard that they were fantastic without any real details around the plot which I appreciate so I could go into the series without there being spoilers. I love discussing the details of a book as much as the next person especially when it's a good book, but I don't like knowing those details until I've gotten a chance to experience it for myself. Case and point Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard, I still haven't finished that series due to the fact I know everything that's going to happen and it makes me not want to pick up the next book. The second book in the Aisling Sea trilogy by Vanessa Rasanen is similar to the first book, From These Dark Depths in that it ends on a cliffhanger and features multiple POVs in the third person limited style. This series has been compared to Black Sails and Throne of Glass. While I haven't read Black Sails, I can see the Throne of Glass parallel. They are on the hunt for a magical dagger that will aid them in defeating a corrupt ruling body. Not to mention the presence of fae, sirens, and other mythical creatures.…

Ever since reading From Tormented Tides by Val E. Lane, I've been into more sea-faring tales (pirates, Vikings, etc.) so I had put the Aisling Sea series by Vanessa Rasanen on my TBR. Originally, I wasn't going to read the series until it was completed, as both books in the trilogy end on a cliffhanger. But on my recent trip to Boston, I felt called to pick up the first book, On These Black Sands, as the sea was calling to me. I'm not usually someone who reads short stories. I like my books being at least 300 pages at minimum, due to the speed at which I read. However, when I learned that Tessonja Odette was releasing Married by Scandal I had to read it. One, it's set in a universe I know. Two, it's on a character that I wanted to see more of in that universe. Three, I love pretty much everything this author puts out. When I first learned of this game (Cult of the Lamb) from TikTok, I knew this game was going to be perfect for me. It's slightly morbid/dark yet incredibly adorable. You play as a lamb that has been saved by a god, but in exchange, you must build a cult and defeat several Bishops who originally tried to kill you.
