Books I’m Looking Forward to Reading in June 2022

I haven't done a post like this since March, while there have been new releases since then there wasn't a lot to the point where I felt inclined to write a post like this. But in June there are five books that I'm looking forward to coming out this month. Of course, there will be other books that I will be reading as well. Most of which will be off Kindle Unlimited, got to get my money's worth out of that subscription. Which never seems to be an issue, since I signed up for it.…
View PostEverything I Read in 2021

It's been an entire year. I hope everyone had a good year. I thought I would wrap up the year by looking back at every single book I read in 2021. Honestly, I'm surprised by how many books I read. Not only that but I started reading new genres during the course of this year, though it still is related to fantasy/sci-fi (for the most part). We'll see if 2022 is similar in terms of how many books I read. I have a lot on my reading list still.…
View PostReflecting on December 2021 Goals

The month is over and so is 2021! Normally when I revisit goals from the previous month, I go over my goals for the next month. I'm not sure if right now where I'm hoping 2022 to go, so I'm going to hold off on making goals at the moment. I'm just going to live in the moment for the beginning part of the year and see how that goes. I'll do reflections on the months still going forward on what's been going on, what I've been consuming for entertainment, and whatnot.…
View PostMy Thoughts on King of Battle and Blood (Adrian x Isolde, Book 1) by Scarlett St. Clair

I love Scarlett St. Clair's Persephone and Hades series, so I was curious what her first book outside of that series was going to be like. Especially when I learned it was about vampires. Plus it's an enemies-to-lovers-style romance, which is always filled with tension. Granted the enemies-to-lovers part is one-sided in this book. If you don't want spoilers since I'm going to be sharing all my thoughts on King of Battle and Blood, I would rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I could not put it down. There are some darker themes and romance scenes are not fade to black. Though I wouldn't say any of the darker moments are very graphic. I'm curious to see where the rest of this series is going to go. I can't remember where the next book in this series is slotted for release since Scarlett St. Clair is still working on publishing the rest of her Persephone and Hades books.…
View PostBooks I Got During the Barnes & Noble Book Haul

Barnes & Noble recently did their book haul where it was Buy One Get One 50% Off, and well after several months of not buying any books and working on reading through everything unread on my bookshelves (not that I finished) I got some books. So, I thought I'd share what I all got with you guys. Especially since I haven't gotten around to reading in the last two weeks.…
View PostMid-Year Reading Wrap Up

I figured as we're halfway through the year, I would do a wrap-up of the things that I read. Especially as there were a lot of books that I managed to get through already. I don't know if I'll have quite the same amount read in the second half of the year, but you never know. When I get into a good book, I have a hard time putting it down.…
View PostThoughts on A Touch of Malice (Persephone Saga, Book 3) by Scarlett St. Clair

A Touch of Malice by Scarlett St. Clair, takes place a little while after the events of A Touch of Ruin. Persephone now has to deal with the aftermath of her mother's reaction to her engagement to Hades. Not to mention she's still figuring out her magic and herself. Not to mention consequences from things that happened in the previous book. According to the author's guide, this is the last book from Persephone's POV, the book that takes place after this will be a dual perspective between Hades and Persephone. I won't share too many spoilers for the book, but I did want to share some thoughts.…
View PostJune 2021 Goals

Another month already?! The year is almost halfway over, and things are starting to open back up. I'm fully vaccinated so yay! This month is going to be crazy to begin with then hopefully things returning to normal around the mid-point of the month. Hopefully, that doesn't change. I really want things to settle down, so I can get back into a routine and have a sense of time again. Granted, towards the end of the month I'm going to start packing to move in July. But that shouldn't disrupt too much.…
