Comparing All the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Collection Formulas

Comparing All the Morphe Jaclyn Hill Collection Formulas

After the whole Morphe changing the original palette of Jaclyn Hill formula, I thought I would compare all three collections to each other. More so than I did in the post discussing this change as I think it's interesting. I will not be including the original formula in this post as that is no longer in production. And I mainly wanted to go over this as in Jaclyn Hill's commercial for the palette she describes her newest palette (Volume 2) as having the same formula of the original palette. So, I wanted to see if the new "original" formula is the same as the volume 2 palette, or if it's closer to the vault collection which was hit or miss for a good portion of people. My vault collection wasn't that bad, and I do reach for those from time to time, but I know others found issues with it.…

Review & Swatches of the ColourPop 9-Pan Shadow Palettes (Part 2)

Review & Swatches of the ColourPop 9-Pan Shadow Palettes (Part 2)

Honestly, this is something I fell off the train of following with each of the new releases ColourPop did with the 9-pan palettes as I have gotten almost all of them. Save for three of more recent ones though I will probably end up getting them at some point. Instead of going back to the original post I did on this, I figured I would just start a part 2. So, if you want to see the first set in ColourPop's 9-pan collection check out that post.…

Review of Ace Beaute Scarlet Dusk Palette

Review of Ace Beaute Scarlet Dusk Palette

I love a good sunset moment on the eyes or red eyeshadow. It reminds me of my favorite color plus the deeper shades just call to me. I miss my Merlot hair on a frequent basis (remind me not to start that up again, I'm extremely tempted at the moment) and this palette has shades that remind me so much of this. Specifically the shades Bahamas and Sangria, especially Sangria. Anyways, I've been using this palette for the better part of the last week since reds are more "work-appropriate" than blue and green, so next up in reviewing of Ace Beaute palettes is Scarlet Dusk.…

Is Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Worth the Hype?

Is Tati Beauty Textured Neutrals Vol. 1 Worth the Hype?

It's been a while since I've done a full blown review so excuse me if this is a little messy. But I really want to review this palette as I think it's so stunning, and something I am honestly shocked not to see before. Tati Beauty is a new brand started by Tati Westbrook (GlamLifeGuru) that is both vegan cruelty free. The first palette they have launched, which sold out right away as well as the pre-order is called Textured Neutrals Volume 1. I managed to get it during the pre-order which was a mini restock of the palette, and I have to ask is it worth the hype? I have not seen a single bad review of this palette, so my expectations of the palette going in were pretty high to say the least.…

Is it Worth the Hype? NABLA Cosmetics Poison Garden and Secret Palette Review

Is it Worth the Hype? NABLA Cosmetics Poison Garden and Secret Palette Review

NABLA a few months ago came to Ulta, meaning the brand's products are more accessible now in the United States. I had heard good things about the brand but never tried their products since it required international shipping. Initially when the brand launched in Ulta, they sold out on both the Poison Garden and Secret palettes almost immediately. So, I didn't manage to get these until it was restocked. That time I decided not to skip out as the palettes look gorgeous and something I can totally see myself vibing with on a regular basis.…

Is Bigger Better? Review of the Kathleen Lights x ColourPop So Jaded Shadow Palette

Is Bigger Better? Review of the Kathleen Lights x ColourPop So Jaded Shadow Palette

Previously the biggest ColourPop palette was like sixteen shades, but they have released in collaboration with Kathleen Lights a thirty shade Shadow Palette called So Jaded. Which is inspired by crystals and gemstones. Every time I reach into the palette, my mind instantly goes to Steven Universe. Maybe as I've just watched that show one too many times. Anyways, I've been playing around with the palette quite a bit since I purchased it on the day it launched. I held off on reviewing it mainly as I haven't had time to blog with work, but I'm getting around to it now. So let's dissect this palette and my thoughts on the formula.…

Review & Swatches of the ColourPop 9-Pan Shadow Palettes (Part 1)

One brand I love mainly has they have excellent products on a drugstore budget is ColourPop, granted they release a lot of products. While I do not have everything they have ever released nor will ever have everything, the mass majority of my makeup is from ColourPop. And I haven't done a few of their eyeshadow palettes in quite some time. Practically on their 9-pan palettes that are almost all monochromatic. So I thought I would share my thoughts and a brief overview of each of those palettes since I have them all.…

3 Looks 1 Palette: NYX Modern Dreamer Palette

3 Looks 1 Palette: NYX Modern Dreamer Palette

I love a good colorful eyeshadow look, it doesn't matter the occasion. I could just be going to work, sitting around the house, or going out somewhere. So, I like to have a variety of colorful eyeshadow palettes in my collection. Since the post on eyeshadow palettes I said goodbye to during the move, I have also gotten rid of around ten additional neutral ones. I'm not going to be doing a post on that, but I thought I would let you all know. In addition to getting rid of those palettes, I have gained an additional one: NYX Modern Dreamer Palette. Which has a lot of variety in eyeshadow colors. So, today I'm going to be sharing three of the looks I've created thus far using the Modern Dreamer palette.…
