So a few words before jumping into my favorites looks by Selena Gomez, I loved watching her in the 00’s on Disney Channel in Wizards of Waverly Place and loved her style on there. The way she was styled in edgy yet over the top layers made her my huge fashion inspiration in high school where I almost daily wore everything at least layered with a solid long sleeved shirt. And this inspiration hasn’t stopped as the 00’s have been left in the past. She has an amazing Instagram account filled with stunning pictures from regular everyday activities made to look glamorous to sound checks and award shows. And this is way I wanted to feature some of the fashion looks she’s worn that inspire me currently.
About ten years ago The Hills first hit MTV and I watched it every season with my sister until it ended in 2010. I loved watching all the fashion and particularly Lauren Conrad. When her line came out at Kohl’s I wanted it in the worst way, and that hasn’t changed much. I love Lauren Conrad’s style. Her airy outfits to casual attire that is perfect for anyone’s wardrobe. She has remained a style inspiration for me as the years have gone by. Now I enjoy reading all about it on her blog LaurenConrad.com.
Whenever I think of vintage fashion in today’s world, the first celebrity that pops into my head is Taylor Swift. From the high-waisted skirts to the killer red lips with minimalist eye makeup. It comes off as very classy while still having the modern twist. Which is why for this Style Inspiration post for Fashion Friday, I’m going to be showing my favorite vintage looks Taylor Swift has worn in the past.
One of my biggest fashion/style inspirations at the moment would have to be Zoella or Zoë Sugg as she has such a retro or airy feel to her style. Which is perfect for any time of the year. So for this Fashion Friday, I’m going to go into some of my favorite outfits that Zoella has worn that inspire my everyday wardrobe.
There are many people and icons that influence my wardrobe. So as a new series on my blog, every few Fridays during Fashion Fridays I will be dedicating a post to some celebrities and icons that inspired a lot of my style choices. To start off this series I have to take a look at Demi Lovato, who also is a huge inspiration and role model of mine. As a personal note, she became a role model for me after her 60 minute interview about her Bipolar Disorder because I was coming to terms with my own Bipolar Disorder at the same time.
