I have been seeing this come up on my FYP for TikTok for the last week or so. Mainly from Barnes & Noble employees. One of them goes up to their co-workers with slips of paper, and whatever is on that slip the employee has to recommend a book. So, I thought I would do the same thing. Only instead of asking co-workers, I asked those on my Discord server. I might make this a series, so leave your “tropes” or “topics” in the comments and they might get featured in the next one of these.
My string of bad luck continued into March. Besides not finding a new job, literally, every application of mine was rejected or came back with “we’re going with other applicants at this time”, my computer decided that I was no longer allowed to play video games after I finished Hollow Knight. I have professionally worked for a decade with computers, you would think I would be able to fix this issue rather easily. But nope… I did next to everything I could think of.
I’m really sick of major life events. I swear something major has happened every month for the last year if not more. This month started with losing my job. The first job I’ve ever been fired from and I can’t believe the explanation I was given. I have my own conspiracy on what happened, but ultimately it doesn’t matter. I don’t have a job anymore. I gave them almost a decade of my life, and now that chapter is over. I’m trying to look on the bright side, which is really hard because I’m not an optimist.
I finally got around to reading the Zodiac Academy series by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. I tried my hardest to avoid all spoilers in regard to this series. So far only 7 of the 8 books in total have been released with the last coming later this year. They are available right now on Kindle Unlimited. While only seven of the books have been released, the first book was re-released but from the POV of the guys since the first book solely is told from the girls’ POV. Every book after that is a mixture of their perspectives with each POV told in the first POV.
